  2. I like that @Matt Z
  3. Have a fabulous day everyone ?
  4. Hi there, I’ve been on this forum a little Over 5 months and I can’t speak for everyone but I think most of the posters here basically share experiences here and are very willing to answer any questions that you may have, this forum has been very helpful, has helped me personally a great deal with all types of questions, some posters share their personal experiences, weight loss success stories and so on. There are a lot of really nice folks here that have been through the process and are successful. There are so many topics that you can do a search for along with a wealth of information. Try it out and see how you like it. I was sleeved on 8/29/18 exactly 4 weeks ago today, I’m very pleased. I wish you all the best on your journey.
  5. Hi @bettie.blue it definitely gets better sweetie, I felt the same way in the hospital, when the nurse first asked me to walk after surgery I was thinking to my self “is she kidding” lol although everyone on here has repeatedly said they get you up to walk right away, but I wanted to get better so just focus on that getting better, as the days ho by you will feel better and better...I’m 5 weeks post op today and I feel really good and you will to. I wish you the best. We’re here for you ???
  6. @ALFxRNY I can see that your face is smaller and you have a glow...Good job and congrats ?
  7. @lis11876 you look great and younger. Congratulations ?
  8. I’m sorry, lady and gentleman ??‍♀️
  9. Congratulations on your surgery ladies, each day gets better and better. I wish you both the best! ??
  10. All of your foods look so good! This is not as interesting but this is breakfast: 1 scrambled egg, 3 turkey sausage links, strawberries and bananas...the restriction is real and I’m happy ?
  11. Nope you're not the only one, I took pain meds through IV while in the hospital but I was still uncomfortable and had to make myself walk. When I got home I was still in pain and took the medication that was prescribed to me by my surgeon, I started feeling better and better each day as I was home. I agree it was hard but time goes by so fast. I'm already 4 weeks post op and back at work feeling just fine. Give it time it gets better
  12. @Matt Z Thanks for sharing your year WL chart, it's so true but very easy to reflect on the little things...Great food for thought and encouraging. I like the big picture
  13. Hey there Ash...Thank you and that's good to know. Gotta watch that fruit intake
  14. I've been hearing a lot of talk about slider foods since I joined this site, although posters have explained it I still really didn't fully comprehend it until I had a banana for a snack today. OMG who would have thought! I am 4 weeks post-op and can only eat about 2 oz of food at each meal, sometimes a little less so I was so surprised when I was down to the last bite of my banana and was thinking I pretty much ate the entire thing. I'm actually glad that I experienced it for myself, now I know to be watchful of slider foods and portion control. I'm loving my sleeve... Thanks guys for making me aware
  15. All I can say is that you all are Rock Stars, I stayed 2 nights and needed it, plus I have low tolerance for pain ? maybe it’s the age too, that plays a big roll I’m sure. I’m glad that you all are doing well. ?
  16. @clsumrall lol...yes we are rocking it!!
  17. Thank you! Yes when the endocrinologist gave my medication orders to my doctor for after surgery “no meds” I was thinking this is too good to be true...it’s true. I was on metforman and victoza and I was naseous every single day for almost a year, it wasn’t a good quality of life for me and that’s my main reason for having surgery. I haven’t went for blood work since surgery, I go in another month and I can’t wait to see what my A1C will be. I do monitor my blood sugars at home so far so good
  18. Hi...I had surgery on 8/29/18, I am diabetic as well, I am actually losing weight rather quickly 10 lbs in the first 7 days, 21 lbs down since surgery and my A1C was bad also, almost 10, since surgery I have come off all meds and my blood sugars are between 100-120, my endocrinologist took me off the meds. As I lose more weight and exercise my numbers should get even better. I don’t eat many carbs but berries and such a small amount, I choose less carbs because I want to have good control of my blood sugars. I wish you the best!
  19. Hi there, in my booklet that my team gave me stated nothing with aspirin or aleeve they do recommend Tylenol so that’s all I take since having surgery...it is confusing though, everyone says something different. Hope that helps ?
  20. It happened to me early on, day 2 and 3 in the hospital...I was so emotional and started having a panic attack. The nurse was amazing, talked me through it. I was okay after a few days after getting home. Hopefully it passes soon
  21. That sounds really good! I'm going to try it when I'm able to eat more. Thanks
  22. I had my surgery on 8/29/18 and my team did not require pre-op diet either, I just could not have anything to eat or drink after 12:00 midnight before the day of surgery. Each team is different that's all and they have their reasons. No wrong or right way...I was just fine. I was very nervous too which is pretty normal. Once I got to the hospital and prepped they gave me something in my IV to relax me and it was over so quick. I wish you all the best, you will be fine.
  23. I love the chicken salad, it’s very tasty and a quick go to meal, easy to go down
  24. Congrats, You look great!! Now you have to change your username...No more fat guy
