  1. @S@ssen@ch I tried salad again today and was able to eat almost 1/2 of a side garden salad (just lettuce and a few cherry tomatoes) at wendys. But I DO have restriction and felt really full.
  2. I only had a few bites and I felt so bloated, for a few hours. I will wait to try it again. It’s really sad because I’ve been craving salad ?

Don't overthink things...it's the total package that he's interested in. You're very intelligent and beautiful. Besides you have no plans on going backwards. Enjoy and allow yourself to be treated like the queen that you are. You deserve it ?
  4. You are too funny!! LOL You crack me up.
  5. Yes, it's amazing how little we eat now and get full and satisfied. You are going to do great!!
  6. You look great...Congrats!
  7. You can have tuna, pureed chicken salad, I loved it when I was on the soft stage, cottage cheese with fruit, avocado, deli meat rolled up with cheese sticks, hummus, peanut butter...do a google search and you will get so many ideas as well. I wish you all the best and Congrats on your surgery.
  8. Hi there...you took the necessary steps to start your journey so you are to be commended. Take one day at a time, vent when you need to and celebrate by doing something nice for yourself when you accomplish mini and major goals. Whether we started at a high weight or low weight for whatever reason we are all striving for the same thing "CHANGE" We are all here for you cheering you on, feel free to ask questions, concerns or whatever, I'm pretty new myself but if I can help you I certainly will and if not there are a lot of veterans around here that will jump in and assist you. Welcome and I wish you all the best!! ?
  9. Thanks, In pictures the plates and containers all look so big
  10. Leftover dinner, Fajitas with no tortillas Shrimp, chicken and chicken sausage with onions and peppers.
  11. You can order water with extra lemon, squeeze the lemon in the water and add a half pack of splenda or any low cal sweetener and walaaah! you have lemonade.
  12. I make several meats and veggies on Sundays such as ground chicken or ground turkey burgers, grilled chicken thighs and I freeze them. I’ll grab one each day and may add a slice of tomatoe to a burger or avocado, chicken I’ll bring some cauliflower rice or spinach and I usually cook seafood once a week...shrimp, scallops and fish and mix it up and take that for lunch as well. I make chicken salad and tuna salad also and usually bring multi grain crackers to eat with those. I like a variety. Get creative and enjoy ?
  13. It’s gas Sabrina, that pain is worst than the incision pain, mine was so bad that I went to the ER, I thought something really serious was wrong, had a Cat scan and blood work done, came back normal...I felt so embarrassed ? the next day, the gas was released and I felt like a new woman and that happened 4 weeks post op...who would’ve thought that I’d still have gas after all that time.
  14. I keep a small bottle in my purse ? I love this stuff
  15. I agree with Rosie T, such a nice post, I’m about 1 week behind you and I understand exactly how you feel...you are doing really well, I’ve read a lot of your post and I commend you so much for having self control because you cook for your family and I can imagine it can be hard especially making some of your favorite meals that you all used to enjoy together...kudos to you!! I only have to worry about myself as my son is grown and on his own. But like I always say one day at a time. Congratulations hon, you are doing great!! Keep up the good job. We got this!!! ??
  16. Congratulations!! You look great, hard work sure pays off. Thanks for sharing your journey ?
  17. Thanks...I meant veggie burger lol. I will look for those and it does look like real beef. The restriction is amazing!!!
  18. For you @GreenTealael...I love this ??
  19. That looks so yummy and you hardly put a dent in it, it’s ok to enjoy something off of the plan every now and then...I think it makes you feel normal...you ate in moderation...I would love to know what brand the turkey burger is, I’ve only tried the Boca burgers and that was before surgery...they are just ok.
  20. @frustr8 I really do like them a lot but after surgery they gave me gas, I will try them again in a few months.
  21. @beachladee3 congratulations you are almost there, I remember the anticipation that I experienced and I was so nervous and excited too...now I’m 7 weeks post-op. Like you I bought a variety of shakes from vitamin shop because I didn’t know which ones I would like, I’m lactose intolerant so that worked for me, also picked up sf jello, sf pudding and popsicles were my best friend...also the vitamins that I picked up worked good for me. I felt the same way as you prepared and it worked out, what I didn’t have my family brought it to me. I wish you a speedy recovery. Keep us posted ?
  22. Not trying to be mean or make you feel bad...but if everyone sent you their stats I think it would make you feel really sad or depressed. Like Matt Z said it's like comparing a car to a building, we are all made up so differently and have different situations such as age, male, female, medical conditions etc. Please just stick to the plan and and the weight will come off and you will feel healthy and happy. The best encouraging stories that I have read on these forums are from the ones that are 12 plus months and further post-op who has lost steady and slow and are keeping it off. No one here is trying to discourage you, we know if you just focus on the number you will set yourself up for disappointment. You have a great tool so use it to your advantage and live your best life one day at a time. I wish you all the best in your journey ?
  23. It's weird because mine was gone after surgery for about 4 weeks and then it came back for a week, but it was more head hunger and I'm glad that I recognized it, now it's gone again. I'm 7 weeks post-op. But I make myself eat 3 small meals a day and sometimes a afternoon snack. Enjoy and I wish you all the best!
