Some folks never lose their hunger/appetite, some do, those that do generally have it return before the end of the first year, this goes for sleeves as well as bypass.

It's weird because mine was gone after surgery for about 4 weeks and then it came back for a week, but it was more head hunger and I'm glad that I recognized it, now it's gone again. I'm 7 weeks post-op. But I make myself eat 3 small meals a day and sometimes a afternoon snack.
