  1. You've done an awesome job!! You look great. Keep up the good work ?
  2. Oh wow!! You look great and much younger too. That is very encouraging ?
  3. Congratulations!! You're on your way to a better life and health. I wish you all the best and a speedy recovery ((Hugs))
  4. LOL...you will, I'm still a newbie but if you read or ask some of the folks that's been on here a year or more, I DO NOT see any of them complaining about not being able to meet their liquids/fluid goals, they all actually encourage every one to drink more...It's just about your mindset, if you want to succeed you will do it. I love this site...I continue to learn things daily here ? You got this!!!
  5. Oh yes, you will be fine. It’s only in the beginning that you will take sips...I was drinking gulps at about 1.5 weeks...I don’t think you’ll be able to drink 22 oz in one shot but you will be able to drink enough so you’re not walking around thirsty....I’m never thirsty because I always keep water with me. It’s the solid food stage is when you will feel restriction and can only eat small amounts which is awesome!! Water just goes right through you and as time passes the more you will be able to gulp ?? I wish you all the best!
  6. @dreamingofasleeve you’re actually doing really well getting your liquids in so early on, it’s definitely going to prevent dehydration and help with weight loss, I was having a hard time getting 64 oz in that early on so I’m impressed...keep doing what you’re doing and you will be a success...drink more if you can. Congratulations on your surgery and keep up the good work ?
  7. That’s awesome! I think you will be way under 250 by January, you are doing really well. Keep up the good work...sexy here she comes. Have fun on your trip and congratulations ?
  8. @jujusmommy07 I lose weight slow and stall often but it does come off, stick to the plan and it will come off. The scale may not move but inches are coming off, walk as much as you can or go to the gym...and please don’t compare yourself to anyone because we are all different and all lose at different rates. I lost about 20 lbs in the first 3-4 weeks the I didn’t lose any more weight for 4 weeks, one day I got on the scale and bam!! I was down 7 lbs but within that 4 week stall I was losing inches and my clothes were getting very lose so I knew that I was losing. You will be fine...you got this honey.
  9. @Torriluv02 yes I had the sleeve on 8/29/18 and it’s going great, I lose slow and stall often but I’m ok with that. My team says that I’m on track and I feel that way to, I exercise a lot, WLS was one of the best decisions ever. I had surgery for health reasons and it’s amazing that I’m off most of the meds that I was taking...it’s a win win right there. I’m down 37 lbs so far.
  10. Wow that’s awesome @skp and @torriluv02 I often wondered how long the restriction lasts so it’s very encouraging to hear that. I hope mine lasts as long as yours. You two have done an awesome job! Congratulations...
  11. Not trying to be condescending but how much weight did you expect to lose in 7 weeks?
  12. You look so good! You said you will never be skinny...guess what?? You are skinny love with your curves and all. I’m so happy for you and you are a good example of what hard work and determination looks like. Inspiration overload ??. Yassssss
  13. I like this and it's so true, it happens to me. I call it my norm but I think I like Whoosh better LOL. Thanks for sharing
  14. It does get better sweetie, we have all been there and like Biddie zz said, the left side pain is most likely gas so move as much as you can...my gas was bad probably longer than most, then one day it was just gone. This will pass soon and each day gets better and better. Hang in there sweetie, you got this ((Hugs)) btw: I was emotional and crying in the hospital my last night there and the morning before I went home, but that didn't last long...Once I got home I just concentrated on healing, getting my protein and water intake in and that kept me pretty occupied.
  15. It's exciting right?? Congratulations and I wish you all the best.
  16. That’s amazing!! Congratulations. It will slow down a bit but to have a big chunk off in such a short time is so motivating. I’m so excited for you, keep up the great work. You got this ??
  17. Hi fluffy, you will feel the restriction once you start on solid foods? The liquids go right through you which is great because you can get all of your water intake in with no issues. Congratulations on your surgery ??
  18. This thread is so encouraging!! You guys are doing so good, man it made me feel so happy and upbeat just reading all of your successful and positive experiences and each one is so different. Thanks to you all for the motivation ?? woot woot
  19. Mine is basically similar to yours but some foods they allow I just choose not to eat for health reasons (like mashed potatoes, and some other carbs, I don't want my blood sugar to spike) My team said in the beginning not to worry about counting calories but I started counting by week 2 only because I know this is something I will try and continue to do as long as I can, tracking what I eat has always worked for me, it's when I stopped tracking in the past I would gain. The information given to me by my team has been very very beneficial and it's working for me. They also really encourage incorporating exercise daily which I do. I feel great!! Nice Post ?
  20. Just be yourself and answer the questions honestly. You will be just fine. I wish you all the best. You will be on the losers bench very soon ?
  21. Thanks for sharing that and yes it didn't go into a lot of detail but it's true about diabetes and high blood pressure in a lot of cases, I am off of meds since surgery...It does put the diabetes in remission, I know that I will always be diabetic but with the help of my sleeve and me watching my food intake it can stay in good control...very happy about that.
  22. That's a great question...Me personally...do not believe that it changes after surgery or I've read on this forum that some say the surgery resets the metabolism?? My Doctor nor any one from his team never mentioned that to me...my metabolism was shot before surgery because of a thyroid condition and after surgery I am still on thyroid meds and I still lose weight slow and have to work my butt off to lose every ounce. Don't get me wrong, I am very pleased with my weight loss results and feel that I am losing at a steady rate for me. I did not go into this surgery thinking that when I wake up from surgery a miracle was going to happen, I knew it would be a tool to help me not eat such large portions any longer and it really is doing it's part and I am doing the rest by exercising and making healthy food choices, low fat, low carb. etc...I know my body, and this is the plan that works for me. I would love to read some statistics that states that these type of surgeries changes our metabolism because it sure did not change mine, therefore I think I should be entitled to a partial refund ? ✌️Just my thought @Kimmie K
