  1. Oh most definitely I can and I will, but I'm at work right now and access is kind of limited
  2. Anybody else notice that when you have a craving now it's more intense? Like right now I am seriously craving some deviled eggs, and I'm craving them so bad I'm half tempted to stop on the way home and get the already cooked hard boiled eggs so that when I get home I can just whip it up and eat it. I curb my cravings with ice cold crystal light slushies, but man when they hit I feel like I'll gnaw my arm off if I don't get it!
  3. Tell me to butt out if you want but I'm curious, where did you start and where are you now? I know you're 92lbs down, but are you within normal ranges? And you say you're eating crap - can you be a little more specific? You may not need to make drastic changes, but maybe if we had a better idea of what your typical day is like food-wise we may be able to help you tweak a bit to get you working your sleeve again. Hang in there mama, we've all been there
  4. I went from a size 9W to an 8 1/2 regular at 3 months out - All the seriously cute heels I had from before I got pregnant that I haven't been able to wear since I was about 6mo pregnant now fit my feet again! COMFORTABLY! Unfortunately my body isn't used to heels anymore so I have to ease my way back into them, but I can't freaking wait to wear them all the time again! I effing love my heels!
  5. I do the monthly injections... Which reminds me that it's time to refill my prescription...
  6. Everyone's experience is different, but the one thing you need to keep in mind is that the less you have to lose, the slower it comes off. If you're expecting a dramatic weight loss like you see on these boards, you may have an unrealistic expectation of just how quickly you should be losing. Something else important to remember is that while your scale may not reflect a smaller number, things are happening to your body that you simply cannot understand. Soon enough you'll start to notice their effects, but I wouldn't worry about it right now.
  7. I have no desire to drink anything, let alone water! Although I will admit that after a full day at the beach yesterday I was chugging (yes, you read right) my aquafina. Pre-op I carried around a 1 liter of aquafina and refilled it at least twice throughout the day. Now I carry around a 16oz Nestle Pure Life with crystal light and I'm lucky if I empty it once, let alone twice. You're not alone.
  8. Thanks! I'm thinking it's probably not the tryptophan since it happens with just about everything I eat, but dehydration could have something to do with it. I think I'm gonna call my surgeon. Thanks again!
  9. It seems like within 30-45mins of eating anything I start to get SUPER sleepy... Like sitting at my desk and falling asleep while waiting for someone I just called to answer the phone sleepy... I have a heavily phone intensive job and I've caught myself falling asleep mid-sentence trying to explain something to a student. This morning for Breakfast I had a "turkey sausage" (Not real sausage, just ground turkey and some spices - I make it at home) burrito (only about 1/3 of the tortilla) - 3 hours later I had a yogurt with some strawberries and about a tbsp of granola for texture. Within 30mins of each of these I was falling asleep at my desk. When this first started happening I thought it was my blood sugar, but I've had blood-work done several times, each time it comes back normal. has anyone else experienced anything similar? And if so, what is it and how do I prevent it?
  10. What has been your proudest NSV yet? For me, I can't decide if it was finally finding my collar bones (this weekend, woohoo!) or fitting into my pre-pregnancy clothes last weekend... Right now they're tied.
  11. I will be SUPER busy this weekend between working, prepping for my upcoming move, family coming into town, and my latest Pinterest project (Read: super cute wall mounted mason jar herb garden) so this will be our weekend discussion topic. So let's hear those dirty little secrets! As always this thread is flame retardant - Have fun!
  12. Someone else already messaged me, but I'll keep you in mind for the next box of clothes And might I add WOW you ladies are on it today!
  13. I'm not sure exactly what I have, I just kind of toss it into a bin if I try it on and it doesn't fit, but since I'm moving in a few weeks I'd like the bin to go bye bye. I'm sure it will fit into a large flat rate box - if you're interested message me here or on yahoo (LMWilson84)
  14. I was thinking the same thing! More towards the end of summer though - I have a wedding to go to at the beginning of June where I have to see an old flame - He's never seen me with long dark hair since I'm usually a beach blonde with a shoulder length cut. I'm kinda going for the wow factor but I definitely want to chop it all off when I get back
  15. I'm a little tardy to the party today thanks to sitting in court for 2 hours this morning, but now that I'm here it's Thursday Thinker time! Here we go! That first peak is the best place to pause and look back, to see if you took the easiest route, to learn the lessons from the first climb. And it is the best place to examine the terrain ahead, to change your plans and goals, to take a deep breath and begin climbing again.
  16. Thankfully chips are a slider food for most so unless you ate the whole bag the likelyhood of dumping in your sleep is probably pretty slim. The down side is that chips are LOADED with fat, calories, and carbs so you're basically liquid for the entire next day to make up for it. I'd talk to your doc to see if there are any alternatives.
  17. First of all EWWWWWW! Disgusting! WTF is wrong with people? I'd hate to see their homes. And second of all - I probably should have refrained from reading this post while getting my afternoon SF chocolate fix. On a side note, I hated chocolate pre-op, wtf?
  18. Enjoy! http://pleated-jeans.com/2012/04/09/15-funny-quotes-from-famous-people/#more-30608
  19. It's Wine and Whine Wednesday boys and girls! Time to b*tch, gripe, and moan about whatever is eating you, or maybe whatever you're eating Today I'm irritated that Steve is so unhappy. He won't let me eat so much as a yogurt and hasn't in several days, so I've essentially been surviving on liquids and a few little nibbles a day since about Friday. And on top of that, I'm freaking stalled... AGAIN! I went from being stalled at 237 to now being stalled at 225, and I am yo-yo'ing between 225 and 230 right now. I know it will pass and I know it's normal, but added to the fact that I can't even up my calories or Protein to try and break it and it's just irritating. ETA: Oh, and if this chick in my office doesn't stop asking me how I am and how much weight I've lost every.single.time she passes me (several times daily) and in that falsely friendly voice I'm going to effing scream! Here's to Campbell's for breakfast!
  20. Congratulations Jess! Welcome to the losers bench! I'm glad to hear things are going so well for you - I was going to offer you some of my "bigger" clothes since you're shrinking out of yours, but it looks like we're about the same size so hmph! LOL!
  21. I don't get a period thanks to my Implanon, but I do notice that around the time when I *should* get it my weight fluctuates a bit. I'm guessing it's water weight.
  22. I dunno if it's possible but what you have just described sounds heavenly! I haven't had a massage since... uhmm... I don't even remember. It's been a reaaaally long time! Maybe that will be my mothers day present to myself this year
  23. Here is your Tuesday Thinker... "Imperfection is beauty. Madness is genius. It's better to be absolutely ridiculous than absolutely boring. When it comes down to it, I let them think what they want. If they care enough to bother with what I do, I'm already better than them"
  24. What's one thing you wish someone had told you before your surgery about life after surgery? Me? I wish someone had told me just how different it would be! All the naturally skinny (read healthy) people at the Dr's office explaining it to us definitely were not as effective as a recently sleeved patient explaining it. I feel like the people working at my surgeons office generally aren't as knowledgeable as they think they are given that they've never actually been there before.
