That's actually a great idea! As a single mom I bank about 6K back on my taxes... I'm already sleeved, but I could use mine for plastics. Thanks!

What Does Slider Food Mean?
I wasn't justifying being a "jerk" as you're justifying your behavior, I was simply pointing out the error in your statement. I apologized, if it wasn't to your liking I really don't give a fat rats a$$. I also don't care if you call me a jerk, because I don't know you and will never meet you so your opinion of me doesn't matter to me. So continue to call childish names all you want, my part of this conversation is over.

*ahem* I did apologize, thank you very much

What Does Slider Food Mean?
I apologize if I did, I was just trying to provide some logic and point out a side of your logic that you may not have thought of.

What Does Slider Food Mean?
Sooo by your logic, ice cream, beer, wine, other liquors and consumables of similar consistency and lack of nutritional value have no effect on our weight? I'm breakin' out tbe Ben and Jerrys! A slider is something that passes quickly through the stomach (notice I didn't say body) and basically goes straight to the intestine where it passes (slowly) through and is absorbed by the body.

A slider is a food that you can eat with no restriction...

Uti And Surgery
A) Start taking a cranberry supplement. drink a gallon of Water a day, and c) tell your surgeon! They're going to insert a catheter and catheters can cause UTIs, but in your case you already have one so it can spread the UTI to your bladder/kidneys and speaking from experience, don't let it go! I had a UTI about a month ago and I let it go with just AZO and it turned into a HORRIBLE kidney infection - bad enough to the point where I was hyhaving to take percocet for the pain - NOT fun at all!)

7Mo Post Op Video - Excess Skin
There really isn't a lot you can do to prevent excess skin, but you can try to minimize it by making sure you stay hydrated and using a lotion with Vitamin E and Collagen and Elastin... I do yoga and stretching and resistance training to try and tone the muscle underneath as well, which helps a little, but I'm still pretty young so my skin should bounce back and at least be manageable until I decide to go under the knife again. That won't be for a while though - I want more children and I don't want to ruin my body again after I've already had it fixed. 278#

Overeater With Sleeve Questions
The thing is, it's not so much the physical stop and fear of vomiting that'll stop you, it's more the fact that eating will become a chore. You'll have no appetite for the first several months, and if you do chances are it's reflux or head hunger. You will have no desire to eat and will find yourself eating more out of necessity or habit than actual hunger. But you do need to seek professional help to get a handle on your psychological issues with food, because it is definitely possible to sabotage your success.

Overeater With Sleeve Questions
It's physically impossible to over-eat - doing so causes you to vomit. As for eating the wrong foods, some things your sleeve won't like anymore, and other things will come easier but not as easy as they were. Your sleeve is a tool, and just like a hammer will break a bone if you don't use it properly, it is possible, albeit unlikely, for you to not be successful with the sleeve. That being said, I highly recommend seeking professional help to overcome your binge eating and over eating issues before your surgery and after.

Wtf Was I Thinking This Morning?!
Oh I did that as soon as I opened it up to pull out my breakfast burrito.. Well, except the Snyders, that's like my weakness and my occasional "I want something bad" snack.. But they're put away where I can't get to them.. LOL

Wtf Was I Thinking This Morning?!
I dunno what the hell I was thinking when I packed my lunch box this morning, except now I'm thinking I should have packed it last night instead of in a hurry this morning... I grabbed one of my freezer Breakfast burritos, OK, no problem there, I grabbed my spinach, mozzerella and feta dip and a handful ritz to dip in it, no problem there, threw in two bottles of Water, good, but then something went horribly wrong! I tossed in a snack bag of doritos (don't even get me started on how the hell these made it into my house since I didn't buy them) and then I tossed in a snack bag of Synders Honey Mustard and Onion pretzel pieces... WTF was I thinking? Is my body subconsciously trying to tell me I need more carbs? I would have never packed a lunch box like this pre-op. I know I've been craving crunchy stuff lately, but that's what I have Smart Pop at my desk for... Thank goodness I have Protein shakes in my over-head cabinet at work, otherwise I'd be starving today - and no amount of empty calories, carbs, or crunchy foods can satiate the hunger of a person who's had no protein all day...

Your insurance doesn't cover it?

A Few Questions...
The hair loss has nothing to do with the anesthesia and everything to do with not being able to take in as much Protein and other nutrients as you're taking in before surgery. Your body has to go through an adjustment period until it gets used to your new eating habits, and there are things you can do to slow the hair loss, but it's inevitable. As for the catheter, any time you go under general anesthesia they put one in, whether you know it or not. You'll also have a breathing tube down your throat, but you won't know about that either. They'll take both out in the recovery room before you're coherent. Don't sweat it
