  1. Ok, from the get go, all I wanted was to lose this weight. I had my surgery on Dec. 12, 2011, about 9 months ago. I started at 258, and now I'm 168, I've lost 90 pounds so far. I will lose about 25 more, in the time coming. I have not been to a doctor since my six weeks check-up, and I feel great. I have not taken any protien drinks or vitimans since my six week check-up. I have and do eat everything, except, I only eat supper, and that is a small portion. If I want a scone for breakfast once a week, by gosh, that is what I have. I don't really exercise, but my job, has me running alot. I have gone from a size 20 to a 10. I'm 54, and have never felt this great in many years. Your smart, eat good. When my hair fell out, every one said use this or that, guess what didn't use anything, it stopped falling out and now it better than ever. Just use common sense. You didn't go thru this surgery to screw up now. Good luck
  2. I sure hope not, cause, I will be six months next week, and I've lost 65, but still have 40 to go. I will be very interested in what they say, by the way, I have not lost a pound in the past month. EEEEkkk
  3. Wow, thanks, my friends. I felt every kick in the pants. lol I will regain my strength on this one. I guess, I thought the weight would just keep falling, but it takes just as much work now as it did, before. It shouldn't be that way, but it is what it is. Thanks again, love you all.
  4. Ok, it's true, I was so on top of this, and I've lost 65 pounds, and have about 45 to go. The only thing is I'm falling back into old habits. It is true, I can't eat the whole bag at once, but give me a few hours and I can. I'm so trying to take back my life, that I've even concidered starting to smoke again, that is what I use to do before, but I'm enjoying the extra money, so I don't think I will pick up that nasty habit, but I just emptied my cupboards this morning and got rid of all the chips and candy. I even made my self drink a protien drink for breakfast, insted of eating junk. I'm almost 6 month out on the 12th of june. I stopped two months ago drinking protien, or even trying to get it in my diet. I need a bid kick in the pants, I didn' t come all this way to be stuck. I haven't gained , but I haven't lost a single pound in 1 whole month. What to do. Help, give me some advice old sleevers. Kathy
  5. I wouldnt worry about it to much. In fact, I think the more you worry about it, the more it will fall out. Look at it this way, were all going to be skinny bald people. I would not waste a penny on any thing, just as soon as your body is not in shock, your hair will thicken back up.
  6. Oh, let me tell you, I'm so losing my hair. It's been happening for a month and a half, and it scares the heck out of you. I'm so lucky to have really thick hair, and I too thought, it wasn' t going to happen to me, but at 3 1/2 months out, bammm it happened. I still to this day, have a hand full of hair after each wash. I have normal thickness now, but if I keep losing it, I will go crazy. I take prenatio vitiems that I don't know if they help or not. It has to stop soon. I was told that people with really thick hair, complain the most, because they notice it the most. I have never seen anyone on here say they went bald, so that helps. PS, if that was one of the down falls of losing weight, I still would have done it. Good luck and peace to you Kathy
  7. Well thank you all. Yes it's been a couple of days, and I so wish I would have left a little something in one of my drawers. lol I'm kidding. To keep me from snacking last night, I rode my bike for 10 miles. and than I got home and showered and sat to watch tv, I decided, that I could not fill my self with junk, after that healthy ride. I know it's a fight, and yes I too, did think, oh no I should have had the other surgery, and I would still lose, but I have to tell you, no matter which one you have, each one has it's own demons. Good luck to you all and thanks for being my friends. love you all Peace. Kathy
  8. I find, that I can only eat a small meal, but for the last month, I found, that I can eat chips, and crackers, and nibble foods, for ever. I found, yesterday, I had 4 different boxes of goodies in my desk drawer. I was wondering why, I havent lost anything, this past few weeks, than it dawned on me, it's all this snacking. So I loaded up the boxes, and out to the lunch room they went. Now, I feel better. It 's hard at night too, cause, I found myself doing, the snacking at night too. In the dumpster they must go. This is how it all started in the first place. We might all have small stomachs now, but if you put junk in them, your going to have junk in your trunck. Beware, it can happen to you. Oh, and ps, I started out with low calorie, but my goodness, they can add up too.
  9. Good Recovery to you. It will take a week or two, but you will feel super. Our prayers are with you. I'm so glad that I did the sleeve, and you will too. Peace
  10. I love my husband, and he is my best friend of 20 years, he has loved me thru all my problems with weight. He has been my best support. I have to admit, I'm starting to look hot, and we went to the mall last night, and he reached out and took my hand. I just looked at him, and he gave me that young man look, that won my heart years ago. We only held hands for a few minutes, and went on our way, but it was nice. Thanks sleeve for letting me relive the good ol days. top weight 260 sleeved 12/12/11 todays weight 195 - 65 goal weight 145

I live on tea now, that is about all I drink. For the past 3 months, all I have had is about 4 glasses of water, and the rest is either tea, cold or hot, and SOBE water. I was a two liter a day diet coke. I thought, I would never make it with out my diet and cigs, but 5 months out and I'm still alive, and so happy. You will be two start weight 260 weight now 195 -65 40 to goal surgery 12/12/11

  13. went from a 10 w to a 9 reg. sexy feet. lol
  14. I decided before hand to lie, about the almost everything, they asked, so that I would not be their for anything other than losing weight. I knew that I wanted the surgery, and the other stuff was none of their business. I also had been seeing the same doctor for many years, and he just sent in every single diet that I had been on, in the past. They will work with you. Hope everything goes well.
  15. Wow good for you! Were so proud of you. I'm going to be five months on Sat. and I've lost 65 pounds, and I'm so excited with life. I can't wait for my one year, cause I hope to be at goal. I need to lose about 45 pounds. Thanks for letting us know, how it is after 1 year. Kathy
