  1. I would suggest trying a tablespoon at a time. 1/4cup is probably too much for your little swollen tummy. Try different things with "lube" - mayo/ sauces. I did a lot of mushy egg salad and cream of wheat at this stage. Just a few bites at a time you you'll progress
  2. I was the same way at 4 weeks out, it gets much better!!!! You're still swollen. In time you will be able to eat an entire egg surely.
  3. I think it gets better when you actually start eating solids! Hang in there!
  4. thanks girl! My typical day is as follows (with some variations of course) breakfast: cottage cheese single- 19 grams of protien snack: 1/4 cup of nuts or trail mix of some sort. Lunch: 1/2 cup of a steak burrito bowl from chipotle with everything (including rice and beans) I can make one last 6 meals easy! With 5 chips. Snack is a venti iced vanilla latte (not skinny, not sugar free) ! Dinner is always chicken breast or pork tenderloin or some other yummy meat with 1/4 cup of veggies. And I always have a snack at bedtime like 1/4 cup of cheezits, or something else carby- small portion!!! Sounds great right???
  5. Thanks ladies!! Yes I'm a big believer in getting enough intake. When you increase do it slowly and try to amp up your work outs a tad too. Your metabolism with pick back up again!
  6. Hello all!! Its my 5 month update!!! Couldn't be happier!!! I am in a misses 14 from a 24W!! wearing plain large from womens 2x's! I am close to goal I know I can do this! No lose skin- just a little wrinkle action on my abdomen-- not bad at all! Some hair loss-- but I am managing-- had a ton to start. All in all my weight loss has been nearly effortless. I work out lightly 3x to 4x per week to help with the skin. I am eating a min. of 1200-1400 cals a day. I have enough confidence finally that I have an amazing new man in my life! I LOVE MY SLEEVE! heres a face pic comparison! Thanks for all the support and motivation everyone!
  7. I have zero lose skin! and as you can see I almost to goal. my stomach looks a little wrinkly-- but I am the only one that has noticed this. I work out 3-4 days a week- speed walking 30 mins and lifting light weights for 10 mins!!! There is hope that you will look good- I think I do!
  8. I was/ am walking on the track 30 mins 3 x per week and some light weight lifting as well.
  9. I have been eating 1200 minimum since 2 months out. I'm sure my weight loss has been great cause of this. I stall if I go any less. Have you thought of adding something like a large lovely 2% milk vanilla latte daily? That's what I do. And I'm 5 months out and 23lbs from goal. :-)
  10. I had my first glass after 2 months and have had a few glasses a week since. My weight loss has been great.
  11. I eat 1400 a day usually. But I drink a large latte a day that has 1/4 of my calories accounted for.
  12. I agree 6 weeks was the turning point
  13. I have never done any sugar free anything besides one diet coke a day. ( I like the taste) and as you can see my weight loss is still great.
  14. Were you fasting for a full 12 hours? And no alcohol for 36hrs? You can sometimes have a falsely elevated reading if you were not fasting. Sometimes it's just heredity and not your diet. Don't get too worried! (I work in family practice as a nurse)
  15. I liked the fruits only. There just wasn't room for much cause I was focused on protien only and the baby foods are not protien dense!
  16. Congrats! How exciting for you :-)
  17. I must be a major rebel. I drink a large latte, 2 sparkling waters and a diet coke EVERYDAY! :-) My weight loss is fantastic and I enjoy these things.
  18. you are looking great!!!! Beautiful before and after!!!!
  19. I am just about 5 months out from surgery. I am feeling and looking great-- with clothes on! I am around a size 12 and large size tops. It is amazing!!!! I dont look horrible with my shirt off BUT I am worried about my strech marks and my slightly wrinkly stomach. Everyone says I look great-- (when I flash my slimmer tummy to my mom, friends, sisters etc) but I still almost feel more nervous about taking my shirt off now than I did before when I was 250lbs for most my adult life! I am in a new relationship and things are great. I am ready to take it to the next level physically but I am wondering what everyone thinks...the guy is great, and doesn't expect perfection. But before I take off my shirt do I give a little speech about how I am a little wrinkly from the weight loss and it may or may not bounce back blah blah blah. Or is it safe to assume that he will kind of know since I have lost 70+ pounds I don't have a perfect looking stomach??? I am just so nervous he will be appaled or shocked and second guess being attracted to me. I WOULD NEVER not be with someone because of this, so thats comforting but how about people that have not struggled with obesity their whole life????? Any thoughts welcomed!
  20. Try making some egg salad. It was so tasty back then! I couldn't eat tuna for a few weeks either.
  21. Jealous! I have lost weight everywhere but my thighs!
