  1. Welcome!! TOM= time of the month NSV= Non scale victory mushies is more general/ broad it can be softer foods with more texture. Purees technically means there are no lumps.
  2. I am up for this challenge!!!! :banane58:
  3. Don't worry stalls are normal and you might be stalled for a few more weeks. Prepare for the worst. YOU WILL keep losing!! Thats for sure. I was stalled at 225 in the beginning for 3 weeks. I thought that was the lowest I was going to weigh!! he he he
  4. Not encouraging just sharing my expirence about drinking half a beer in 2 hours
  5. I had my first drink at 6 weeks. I got maybe 1/2 a beer down in 2 hours. Now enjoy about 3 beers a week and have been since 3 months.
  6. Thanks for posting you are definitely one of the biggest inspirations for all of us on this forum! You always support everyone and are so positive!!!
  7. even after 80lbs lost I still see the 260lb girl sometimes-- most the time actuallyI look at my size 12 jeans I just bought and think theres no way my body fits in these!!!! but they do! Its odd..... does it get better?
  8. I want to hear what other people think about goals regarding whether or not to set a goal of say, 135lbs for a girl of 5’4’’ or would I be better suited sticking with my modest goal of 165ish. Here are my thoughts: 165 will be much easier to maintain and I will have less risk of regain 165 will help the skin look less saggy. 165 is still slightly chubby- but I would still feel great about myself physically. Heck, I feel great at 183! If I am perfectly healthy—no high blood pressure, diabetes, etc at 165 is there any reason to not stop there besides the BMI scale saying I am still “overweight” I would rather be a bit thicker and have no saggy skin then be tiny and have saggy skin….. Thoughts please!!!!! Thanks!!!
  9. at 3 months I stalled for almost a month. Stayed the same weight for almost a month!! I thought that I was done losing weight. But no :-) I have gone on to lose 20 more pounds since!
  10. Hi have you thought of adding something like a latte everyday? I have a Venti Iced Vaniila Latte everyday. with 2% milk and non-sugar free vanilla syrup. Theres like 15 grams of protien and 300 cals. Most of the cals are from the milk so no fretting! I swear by these. I could not get enough cals in with out my Startbucks! And if I don't get enough cals (at least 1200) I don't lose. I stall big time :-)
  11. Thank you all so much! Best new update: In a size 12 and mostly large tops and in Medium scrubs! (I'm a nurse) woot!!!
  12. Yay congrats! It took me 5 months do go down 2 shirt sizes!!!
  13. I even had my resting metabolic rate tested at lifetime fitness. I work with a RD and a personal trainer regarding this. I was told never to go under 1200 calories or my body will go in to starvation mode and my metabolism will slow way down-- I used to eat 3500-4000 calories a day preop when I was weighing 255 for most my adult life. 1200 is not a lot. No way will I eat 600 calories a day to lose weight faster. I will make goal and Its okay if it takes me another 6 months to lose those 20lbs.
  14. you look so good! I wish my face was thin like yours!!! keep up the good work lady!
  15. I think at 9 weeks out I was at 40lbs exactly. You are doing fantasic!!! :Banane57:
  16. I have been eating AT LEAST 1200 cals a day since 2 months out and I have lost 70lbs post op in 5 months and I'm 20 from goal. :-)
  17. those are the rules for sure. But I drink with meals and I drink carbonated beverages and I have no problems. I am not encouraging this I am just sharing how this works for me and some other sleevers.
  18. Lots of veggies and fruit. But I also have a regular 2% vanilla Latte everyday (not sugar free), I have a slice of toast a few days a week and like 12 chips a few days a week, and like 8 fries when I go out with friends.
  19. I'm 5 months out and 20 pounds from goal and I eat carbs everyday. 100 or more
  20. By the way I had mine checked at Lifetime fitness and it was about 100 dollars. Money well spent!
  21. I had my RMR checked at 250lbs in 2008 and it was 2000. I had it done at 3.5 months out now and it was 1300. (at 195lbs or so ) I totally agree. I eat at least 1300 cals a day cause of this!!! and it works for me!
  22. Wow 10- 20 pounds? Jeepers! I think 3 pounds is very normal. It's not fat gain. No worries girl!!!
