  1. I'm at the other end of life. I am 65 but I feel the same way as you. My doc doesn't require any amount of weight loss before surgery but I feel as if I should loose something. I keep trying and then by the end of the day i screw up. You are very young so are you able to exercise? If so exercise as hard as you can and do what you like to do. Eat 5 small meals that are healthy and you will loose. I know you can do it. Then after the surgery you will not be hungry at least not physically. Any of us can do something for a very short time and mid Oct is just around the corner. Let us know how you are doing. We are all here to help.
  2. Both of you are so brave. I am 65 and am going to go thru this soon. You both have your whole life ahead of you. You both will suceed and be free from all the weight that is holding you both back. I also have been very hard on myself all these years and still am. I don't even know if it is too late for me but I am going to try. I am so tired of life passing me by and being in terrible pain day in day out. You are both young and the bad stuff has not happened to you yet. I will pray for both of you and please keep in touch.
  3. Same for me. Sugar is my down fall. I can't imagine not having it. So how will I ever do this? I have to get something straight real soon. The clock is ticking for me. I quit smoking after 35 years cold turkey (stayed quit for 12 years now), you would think I could give up my favorite foods. I really need everyone's help also.

I also read how great they were. Especially the high protein one. I asked what was in it. They said you could have 2 fruits. I asked what about plain and they said no you wouldn't like it that way. So I picked blueberry and strawberry and couldn't see how they made it. Started home and tasted it and it was so sweet. Now this is a place that claims to be health food. I called their 800 # when I got home. I was told that they put only enough sugar in the fruit to help preserve it. Lots of carbs. You would think health food they used fresh fruit. What a misrepresentation. Not for me ever again.
  5. No loose skin on you. You look great. Good job.
  6. I sure hope that when you are finished with this sight you come back occasionally and keep all of us laughing.
  7. Never heard of this before!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  8. You know there are some stores where everything runs smaller than in normal dept stores. This could be the case. Go to a different store and refuse help. Laugh, this is suppossed to be fun every step of the way.
  9. Best of luck and you are in my prayers.
  10. I truly believe that they should teach servers in restaurants to have more compassion. My husband and myself are both overweight in other words fat. 2 out of 3 times they try to put us in a small booth. It should be in training if fat people come in put at a table. It's as if they can not see.
  11. CUTE and PRICELESS
  12. That is an amazing transformation in so little time.
  13. Just wondered if you were on insulin. I am on insulin and am 2 months from surgery. I am hoping that I will get off of insulin. This is one of the main reasons for me having the surgery. Would appreciate if you would either answer here or message me with the details. Thank you.
  14. Congratulations. You are doing great. Keep it up.
  15. Michele, I viewed your profile and just wanted to say you are a very brave woman. Best of luck on your journey.
  16. Happened to me after a large round of antibiotics for big infection. Then I got CDIF. After about 3 weeks of not being able to eat and diarrhea I went to the doctor and he treated me with 2 more antibiotics and I finally got better.
  17. You look so much younger. When I first looked at the picture I thought it was mother and daughterLOL. Keep up the good work.
  18. You were beautiful before but more so now. Keep up the good work.
  19. Dana, I am pre-op and have been reading this site daily for 2 months. The statement about the ice cream and the chocolate is not wise, that is what got us the way we are in the first place. Someone correct me if I am wrong, but you should up your calories at THAT POINT with good carbs like fruit or some kind of vegetable. The occasional treat food would come sparingly after you are at goal and for maintenance as a meal FindingMeMe is doing now. She knows what she can eat and exercise away the next day because she is at goal. Keep reading and you will understand what I mean. Best of luck to you on your journey.
  20. Finding MeMe, Went to profile page and saw your picture and you have done fantastic. Keep up whatever you are doing you look great.
  21. I agree DON'T ROCK THE BOAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I retired after 30 years at one place and i always lived by that moto, no matter what. I have seen a lot of people cause themselves so much grief by rocking the boat.
  22. Good for you. I wish I could turn back the clock for my kids, but it is too late.
  23. Not to get off subject but HalfTheWoman, what a wonderful difference in such a short time. You are doing great,
  24. Could be appendix or even gall bladder. GB pain can radiate all over the right side. Can't you put a call into you PCP and see what they say. Best of luck.
  25. I'm pre-op and was wondering if you could have a lettuce wrap? That is a great way to replace bread.
