  1. Thanks for sharing. I am so happy for you. keep up the good work.
  2. depends on what your insurance requests. It can be as much as 3-6 months is what I am reading. There are all kind of testing and nutritionists meetings. I am into it 1 month and with my insurance maybe sometime in October I hope. This first month has been many different tests. Good luck and we will make it.
  3. You should write a book. You are too young to know who Erma Bombeck was but she wrote like you about everyday life experiences. I enjoyed your short story. Give one of her books a try after your company leaves you will see what I mean. Mokee
  4. best of luck!!!!!!!!! So many prayers will be with you. Please let us know how everything went. Mokee
  5. 75 lbs amazing. Buy yourself a new pair to treat yourself.
  6. You are so normal from what I have been reading for over a month now. Congrats to you . I just started my journey and don't have surgery for awhile. But losing 100 lb in a year is quite an accomplishment. I'm sure you will make your goal.
  7. Go to the top of the page and go into the lap-band room and you can talk to many that have done this. Go into CHAT
  8. You are doing fantastic. Hope the rest of us do as well. Keep it up
  9. Proctor you look soooo much like my son. You are the same weight also. If I didn't know better, I would think someone took a twin I had somewhere else LOL. I took him to one of the meetings and he was not at all interested. He gets celluitis all the time in his legs and is laid up for weeks. He says he has no other health issues but that is hard to believe. He is a smoker though and he would have to stop that, I am having the sleeve even at my age because of so many health issues. I try to tell him it is coming all the cronic things that are no fun. Diabetes, hbp, high cholesterol. I would be interest in hearing your story. Best of luck, Mokee
  10. My grandson at age 8 had his first seizure in a pizza shop. It scared my son to death. He has been on medicine for the past 4 years and now they took him off. From his MRI he only has a small chance of a seizure again. It has been a year and so far so good. I know your son is a little one but seizures are scary. He needs a strong healthy Mom. He will be fine. Best of luck on your surgery. Mokee
  11. Best of luck. I know everthing will be just fine. Keep us informed of your progress.

Next summer I want to be able to walk with my friends and keep up in stead of feeling like an indentured servant, Join in the ball games with the grandkids and dogs, Sounds like we both have a lot to work for. When is your surgery? Mine won't be until after thanksgiving.
  14. I think he means if you use canned fruit it should be packed in its own juice with no sugar. Fresh fruit is fine.
  15. Are you taking any diabetic medications. If so adjust accordingly. You should stop until you see your doctor.
  16. dooter Thanks for that little bit of knowledge. I am a total chocolate freak. Knowing that I may not like it is very encouraging.
  17. My doctor said it is not so much the boogie size but it is how close the doctors staple to the boogie. He says he uses a 34 but staples out from the boogie.
  18. it will be a coming for 2 weeks at my doctors.
  19. Since we have the same surgeon remember the person you went to for the psyc evaluation. Maybe you could visit her again. I go for mine on Monday and was thinking about going in to see her a couple of times a month to address the same thing. I have been extremely overweight my whole life except for 4-5 years when I starved myself. I was not raped or abused that I can recall so that is not it. But since you are having these problems I had better address them before I have the surgery. Thanks so much for sharing. I was just thinking today how am I going to give up fast food????????? I want to be healthier but when we were raised to live to eat instead of eat to live we have a harder way to go.
  20. Looking good!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hard for you to believe the changes??????????????? Keep it up..

  22. You have been through a lot. You are very brave. How do I friend you???? I want to follow how you are doing. Mokee
  23. You are amazing!!! Please tell me your story. I see you are close to my age. Did you have a lot of health problems that you decided to have the sleeve? I am having a hard time deciding if this is for me. I have many health problems and at my age it is scary. I will not get better if I don't do something,
  24. I'm in the same boat as you. I just visited the surgeon 2 weeks ago and have been reading and reading. I went to one of the support meetings the weight loss dr puts on and met a couple of people that were very happy that they did it. I plan on going to as many of those as I can in the next 3 months (that's how long I have till insurance approves it). Best of luck.
  25. Please let us know if it was that easy for you. What state are you in? I'm in Ohio. If this is true I could have what I need done this month and be on my way. That would be nice not to have to wait till the end of the year.
