Try isopure liquid. I like the alpine punch. Can get it at vitamin shoppe. Has 2 servings in a bottle with 20 gr protein per serving. I wish someone had told me about this when I started. I just found out about it 2 months ago. Even though I am 6 mo out I still need to supplement protein sometimes.
  2. What insurance do you have? This was really fast. Most everyone has to wait 3-6 months minimum. Good for you.
  3. WHAT DOES ALL OF THIS DRAMA HAVE TO DO WITH WEIGHT LOSS?
  4. I will say a prayer for you. Hope everything is going well so far. You will be hurting really bad when you wake up. Don't be afraid this is normal. If you are not hurting too bad like some, lucky you. Best of luck. Best
  5. You need to get a restraining order and get him out of your life. I do not know how you will ever have successful weight loss with all these problems going on. Concentrate on your child, your job and your diet. Best of luck to you.

Wait until after surgery and you are going thru ketosis. Talk about bad breath, you can't stand it yourself. I brushed and brushed and gargled to no avail. Best of luck on your surgery. You may be in ketosis now if you are on a liquid diet and have been for a couple weeks.

Awesome job!! Keep up the good work.
  8. Isopure liquid is the best for me (punch). Have it at vitamin shoppe.
  9. Rtd210. I was the same way as you early out but let me warn you. I am 5 months out now and the horrible cravings are back. At 3 months I introduced crackers to my diet and that is all it took. Then a bite of bread a few of DH fries. Then a taste of his dessert or ice cream. This past week has been a disaster. I have grazed on all the wrong things. Today I literally threw up because of all I ate and I have not thrown up at all during the whole 5 months. I hope this was enough for me to start anew. I was so angry with myself. Just warning everyone that it is so easy to get back into our old habits.
  10. I am a CARBOHOLIC sure enough. I also can not eat just one of anything sweet or salty. It is a curse but we have to learn to live with it the best we can. I wish u knew an answer, I would share. The only answer is to not take the first bite. If you find another PLEASE share with me.
  11. Welcome. We are all here for you.
  12. I hope your occupation is writing so a very large group can enjoy your talents as we all do here. Thanks!
  13. You are 8 days out eating chicken and eggs already. Be careful. Your stomach is not close to healed.
  14. Joatsaint, are you just having surgery or according to your stats you had it in December. Are you male or female? I am just full of questions. Best of luck either way.

You are so young and so smart to have this done at your age. I am 66 and 4months out. I have lost 63 lbs that will never come back. I will be at goal when I loose the last 45 lbs coming soon. I have not been this low for 43 yrs. all the things I have missed in my life for all those years you will have it all. It will be rough for a few weeks but time flies and before you know it you look in the mirror and see a thinner you. And if you have any medical issues they will improve also. Best of luck to you and enjoy every moment of the journey.
  16. You said they told you we can not digest meat. That is the majority of the food I eat. I never heard this. As far as steak, I enjoy it just not a lot at a time. You need to read more posts to see what people are going thru and the kinds of food they eat. Maybe your nutritionalist is a vegetarian and does not want others to enjoy meat.

I am 4 months post op and down 60 lbs. I have gone from a tight size 24 to a 16 1/2 pants. I don't get out that much but people in the immediate family said my face is a lot thinner. My one DIL had not seen me for 3 months and she is the only person that made a big deal out of it. It made me feel really good. We see ourselves in the mirror every day so that is why we do not see it. Others that are over weight in my family and my best friend don't say too much. I guess they are jealous or think it is so easy for us. Little do they know. This is just as hard as regular weight loss but we do get full and I guess that is the secret.
  18. Eat protein, an egg, cottage cheese, tuna with a little low fat mayo. When you are further along always eat meat or fish first. You will feel the restriction.
  19. All you need is someone to bring you home from the hospital. Make sure you have all your protein drinks, sugar free jello, popcycles, broth in your house before surgery. You need no one to care for you. You have to get up and walk every hour for 10 min and you can prepare the very little you will need to prepare yourself. Your first few days are sip sip sip, walk walk walk. So if mom and dad stop over to visit in the evening they can do any odds and ends you may want done but I doubt it. My husband went to work and I cared for myself. If you had small children then you would need help.

I was only required to lose 2lbs from my surgeon and I lost 6. Is this the insurance or the drs office request? I had many food funerals the month before surgery. I guess I was a little scared and the thought of never eating the quantity of my favorite foods made me do this. July is a ways off so you can do this. That is 5 lbs a month. Did they say they would not do the surgery if you did not lose 15 lbs by then?
  23. How big is your sleeve? How in the world can you eat that much this early? We have all been there and I could barely get my protein in and a hard time with liquids. Still at 4 months post op I do not get enough liquids in. My calories are 800-1000 now. Best of luck to you but don't stretch your sleeve eating this much. You are not even healed yet.
  24. Sounds like diabetes. Nerve neuopopy (not spelled right). Also about the hump on your back. Have you been getting enough calcium? I discussed the vitamin issue with the dr assistant. I am not wild about taking 3 bariatric vitamins a day and a calcium petite the rest of my life. She said I could take 2 over the counter vit but would have to take 5 times as much calcium and take the vit and calcium at different times for it all to be absorbed. I chose to do the bariatrics as I have been. Something to talk to your surgeons office about. I surely hope you feel better real soon. Just trying to make some suggestions.
