  1. YES your surgery will be cancelled. The whole purpose of this 2 week liquid diet is to shrink your liver so the surgeon can get to your stomach. This surgery isn't a quick fix, you'll eventually be able to eat again and if you don't start making smart choices NOW, nothing is going to change later. You can do this, I believe in you!

  7. Curious to hear the answer to this, I wondered myself.
  8. Cue the music: 12 days post op and everything seems to be healing and progressing on schedule. The debilitating joint pain I had prior to surgery is GONE which leads to me to believe more strongly that that the bad foods I was addicted to are poison. I'm sleeping well, my skin looks great. I'm hungry often but my Protein Shakes and things I'm supposed to be eating take care of it right away. Part of me still doesn't believe I've had a surgery that is going to enable me to have a completely different body. But I was thinking before I got up from my nap.that I will concentrate on today because really, that's all there is. For you peeps awaiting your surgery dates, I'm so excited for you. I hope your experience goes as smoothly as mine has so far. If your surgery center offers education, be sure and take it because for me that pre surgery experience has proven invaluable. All the best best everyone.
  9. What do you know about this product? Is this something we can use if we can't get all out protein in? http://www.pureprotein.net/pages/products.aspx?sku=018907

  12. Why don't you change your thought to- I'm going to be a great patient because I know what nurses go through and I don't want to make their job any harder? And trust me, when you wake up from surgery the last thing you're going to care about is what you're wearing.
  13. Yeah, I loved Premiere vanilla and yesterday I had to choke it down. 11 days out. This morning however I have been able to get a good amount of Isopure blue raspberry down and a week ago it made me sick. Guess we just have to keep trying. Good luck
  14. Great job! 8 days here and still struggling.
  15. The Blue Raspberry is tolerable but don't over buy because you won;t use it. I bought 4 bottles and only used 1.
  16. Hiya Peeps, I'm 8 days out and feeling pretty darn good with the exception of some incision pain. It's the big incision and it's really sore in that area today. Just went with my husband to the grocery store and getting into the car is the worst! I laid low the past few days because I was worried I was doing to much. I was surprised how much that spot not only hurt, but seemed to burn when I was moving. The whole area feels really bruised today. Is that normal? Michele
  17. Oh the joys of being a woman!
  18. Tomorrow will be a week post and I woke up today with slightly burred vision. Is this a side effect of dehydration?

  20. I don't have a cold and my allergies aren't bothering me but ever since surgery 6 days ago I've had this drip in my throat that tickles and causes me to cough. It happens in my sleep and wakes me up and even now typing. I have to hold my tummy so tight when I cough. Ouch. Did anyone else experience this?
  21. I'm feeling better each day. Looking forward to a new life with my sleeve. Thanks for the support.

  24. I guess since my surgeon and classes said this was just a 1 hour surgery with just an over night in the hospital that I didn't think I had to stay down too long. Day 4 yesterday post-op and I went to Target with my husband and today we went to Costco. It's hard getting in and out of the car and I'm pretty tired. My friends say I'm doing way too much and I need to lay around for the next 2 weeks. In class I was told I need to walk, walk, walk. What was your experience? Michele
