Protein Bars?

Instead of getting my protein in by protein drinks, can i do those protein bars?? some have as much protein as 20g, as much as my drinks which i can barely get down! Anyone know, 4 weeks post op.

Yes. I do a combination of both. Remember to get your protein in food too. Tuna chicken etc...

Make sure you are looking at the carb and sugar content of the bar you are eating. <5 grams sugar and < 5grams carb is the rule of thumb. Also, at four weeks, eat it very slowly and chew very well to make sure it agrees with you.

I was cleared at 8 weeks for protein bars - sooooo glad I have that as an option now!!

They are high in carbs and calories. Oh yeah has the best bar out had 28 grams of Protein but over 300 calories and alot of carbs. I ordered them from amazon but had only 1 not worth out. They are big too. I get my protein in other ways notworth eating bars

I do Beriwise bars. It does take ahwile to eat a whole one, like all day:-)
