Hello fellas. I had my Revision from band to sleeve on 8/28. So far I have had constant pain in my joints since then. I had swelling in my hand do to a bad iv during surgery. Which also caused chest pains that I had to get hospitalized because they weren’t sure if I had PE’s. Or pneumonia. Which I had neither. They have since subsided some. Now I am having swelling in my knees. Very painful. And it feels like all this pain is making it worse to do the things I need to do help get better from the surgery. And of course, I can’t take any anti inflammatories. I’ve used ice, heat, and elevation. Any other ideas that anyone has would greatly help. I wanna get moving.

What’s up guys. I had the VSG 07/31/12. Started out at 317, and lowest weight was 174. Started to work out to bulk up to 195. Well, after a little marriage misfortune (long story), and a job transfer, I got completely out of my routine, both nutrition based and working out. I moved to Lafayette, Louisiana and as you know they love to cook. Well! Marriage and career are going good, but my diet got so out of wack, I’ve gone from 195 to 236 in a 2 1/2 year period. My question for y’all is have any of you gone through the VSG pouch reset? I want to get back to under 200 again.

Hi-Starting week 8. For the most part, very happy. Down about 30 pounds, hoping for 50 by 3 month check in. I keep having little gains and then loses. Is this normal? I am also notice if I indulge in even a few nuts, the scale goes up. Not fun and something I need to cut out. Any thoughts?

Ok guys I have a question. I’ve been approved for VSG on September 7th I’ve been reading the forums and have seen a lot of posts about weight regain following VSG over the long term. My doctor initially wanted to do the DS but I told him I felt more comfortable with the sleeve. He told me that the DS has a more rapid initial weight loss, but over the long term both surgeries are similar in weight loss according to current data. So I guess my question is, is VSG a surgery that has a higher incidence of weight regain? I realize that everyone is different, and there’s no way to definitively know the eventual success or failure outcome, I’m just trying get real life answer f…

Am I the only one that gets annoyed by the number of women that post in the Guys' Room? Please don't get me wrong, I have the utmost respect for women and consider them peers and equals. I guess the rub is that women dominate, for obvious reasons (80/20), the general forum and I personally don't and rarely see men post in the Gals' room. It feels like an invasion of the one place that should be The Guys' Room. And, I've read the excuses about how they don't know there in here. To me, they are just that, excuses. I can read a URL just like everyone else. Hope this doesn't start a $hit storm, just want some perspective. Oh and to be clear, I want it from the …

Hey guys, I'm Bob 24 years old from Brunswick, GA, I'm 6' tall and weigh around 536lbs. I am in the process of getting the Gastric Sleeve and have so many questions that are hard to ask a doctor. I have asked questions until my face is blue! So my question for the guys is this... tell me about your man parts lol... how did your penis size change after seeing results from your weight loss surgery? Did it get bigger? I have a decent size to begin with but the fat mound around the base is big... help me out! give me some motivation... share pics with me if you want (Not gay just would love to see the difference!)! 10. Hi everyone! I am a 59 year old male, 5'9" and weigh 350 pounds, and carry most of my weight in my midsection. I'm going to have the sleeve surgery sometime in September. The doctor said that I will probably get down to 220 pounds. If any of you guys come close to my age, height, build and weight, could you please tell if you have very much loose skin, this is the only thing that has me really worried. Thanks very much.

Hello Everyone, it’s my first ever post! I am a week out from VSG (4/23), and the thing I am most nervous about it being crazy hungry & not being able to eat. I cognitively understand that the huge reduction in ghrelin addresses a lot of that, but that fear is something I already struggle with (scared of being hungry with no access to food - side effect of growing up extremely poor I think). Did any of you have that same fear? And if so, how did it actually go after surgery? Thanks!

I’m considering the VSG. I have only talked with a doctor about it a couple times. My biggest concern is being able to drink enough water. I work a blue collar job here in southeast Texas and usually have to drink 8-10 bottles of water a day minimum just to stay close to hydrated. I’ve had several family members have the surgery and they all talk about having to “sip” all day. That’s not really a possibility for me, I usually have to run back to the truck a down a bottle or two then get back after it. Any guys on here that have dealt with this issue? Is it doable with the surgery to drink that much water in a day?

I hope it’s okay that I post this question here, even though I’m a woman. I was sleeved last year and my husband almost seven weeks ago. Since his surgery he’s had no complications except some leg pain, and his sexual desire is nonexistent now. Prior to surgery -even at his HW of 380- he had no problems. He’s down to about 330 now and told me he hasn’t even been interested in masturbating. Everything I’ve read says his desire should be increasing and I’m really concerned. Have any of you experienced this issue? Did it resolve itself eventually? I’ve been avoiding addressing it in serious conversation because I don’t want to stress him out. **edit** Sorry, I just…

My testosterone was recently tested by my PCP and it was found to be low. I have to be tested one more time before they decide if it needs to be treated but due to sexual issues and overall fatigue, she thought it would be worth a shot. I was reading up online and apparently this surgery (bypass) or any number of factors related can cause Low T. I think I've been dealing with it for a while but has anyone here dealt with it pre or post surgery? If you were treated after testing, how did you feel?

I am about 2 months away from surgery because of all the insurance hoops that I have to jump through so my questions is... since I have met my deductible & out of pocket how long do I have to wait to have a different surgery. I am wanting to do a vasectomy can I get it done while off the two weeks for my bypass surgery or do I have to wait longer. I really don’t have a lot of vacation time to take off & with my work schedule I would have to take off for the vasectomy as well.

She already receives over $2000 a month from NYS in the form of a maintenance stipend for them. She sent me an email with separation paperwork yesterday that says she wants $60 a month of my money too. She also stated that she needs it signed and notarized by May 11th so she can get things going to adopt another child.
