Queen Bee Bee, sorry but I couldn't help laugh at your little rant! It's good to have a place to let these emotions out. I'm new to this site but have found it so helpful already. It's good for us all to hear the good and the difficult times. I'm in the just beginning category and I don't want to hear only the positive. I want to hear the real deal! When I get to that pre opp diet I want to know what to expect..REALLY expect! So thank you for posting your true feelings. I hope you are feeling better soon! Take care

. 4 more.. You can do it!! 2 weeks after surgery is the same as you will feel and be hungry about 3 days pits op. You don't feel restriction till you start full liquids or mushy. So just make peace with the pre op diet! You feel lighter? I did and that made me feel fantastic and got me through it!

So today is so much easier...I've been able to cook for hubby without resenting him! So big breakthrough...I was feeling jealous that he could eat all these yummy foods while I was sucking down another shake and I was getting angry with him and myself and it was aweful. Today it doesn't bother me too much. I'm starting to feel fuller on the shakes now they sustain me a lot more too :) haven't cracked the shits at all today :) VICTORY!!!! Thank god for this app and the Facebook page sassy sleevers just helps to know ur not alone and helps to know whAts in store 10 more days to go!!!!

Hang in there! It gets better. The preop diet (I did 2 weeks of only liquids) was the worst part. I'm 2.5 months postoperative and have lost 55 lbs!

I have surgery in 5 weeks and was told to low carb the week before to shrink my liver, but I'm trying to start earlier. It's really hard, I completely understand. I did Ideal Protein for 5 months and lost 50 pounds but lived in a perpetual state of hunger. It was horrible-led to serious carb-binging after I finally gave up. I would literally have lists of foods I was craving. So, I'm nervous about going back into a hunger-diet situation.

You are doing so well! I wish I had words of encouragement beyond "it's almost over."

Keep up the great work and feel free to vent-we all get it! :)

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
