I now have some (little bit) shape to my butt. It has been really flat for years, and now it is finding a curve. My face is slimmer and I look younger.

I still have a way to go, but I've noticed the most change in my face, fingers, breasts and feet. I'm noticing my legs are toning up a little and still trying to work on the arm flab. I'm definitely happy with what results I'm seeing this far, and can't wait to see what is yet to come!

I know longer have swelling in my calves and ankles. I can feel my collarbone, and people can see it. The first thing one of my friends said to me was, "Look at your face." I'm getting a waist.

And I still have a ways to go, too!!

I have a waist and my face is much thinner. Physical activity is now something I crave instead of dreading.

My husband was telling me last night he really noticed it in my face, neck, collarbone area and legs. I can tell it in my butt also, but my waist doesn't seem to be going anywhere!

Good and bad, lol.

On the bad side, I can more clearly see the effects of age and multiple pregnancies - empty breasts and slightly loose stomach.

On the good side, I am muscular, I have discovered that I have a really lovely shapely upper body - my arms, shoulders, back, all nicely muscled but very feminine and you could slice an apple on my collarbones. My lower half, not so great, lol. But not bad. I can feel how firm and strong my body is, in a way I never could even at 14 or 15 years. Most of the changes have come from exercise - losing the fat has just meant I can feel and see them.

My husband grabbed my butt the other night, then got a shocked look on his face. Apparently, my butt is getting smaller! :wink2:

I can see a bony structure at the bottom of my face. It is my chin. But the skin on my neck is wrinkley because of the weight I loss in in that area.

I definitely have a more feminine shape, with a more defined waist (instead of being a big lump!). My profile is also much slimmer. I measure frequently, and pretty much everything is reducing at about the same rate. But my poor chest--these babies are getting SO flat and flabby. I can fold them, wrinkle them, and tuck them to the side under my arms. They will definitely need work. My stomach will probably have a bit of loose skin, but I don't think it will be drastic; I've noticed it shrinking and tightening lately, which is awesome--no tummy tuck!

Thank you everyone for your well wishes! I totally forgot I wrote an update here... I'm one week post op today. I gained 15 lbs in water weight overnight because they had to give me tons of fluids to bring my BP up after surgery! I stayed one night in the hospital. Everything has been fine except I seem to have picked up a bug while I was there and I've been running a low grade fever, coughing, and a sore throat. So I've been hydrating well and sleeping a ton. So far the Covid tests are negative.
I haven't been able to advance my diet past purees. Everything I eat other than tofu makes me choke and feels like trying to swallow rocks. They warned me it would get worse before it gets better, so lets hope this is all normal. I have my follow up on Monday so we'll see. Living on shakes and soup again is not fun. I had enough of them the first time!! LOL

Still purging all of the larger clothing. This morning, a shirt that I ADORED wearing ended up on top. Hard to let it go, but it was also hard to let go of those habits that also no longer serve my highest good. Onward and upward!

Well, tomorrow I go in for an impromptu hiatal hernia repair after ending up in the ER over the weekend because I couldn't get food down and water was moving at a trickle... I've been having these symptoms on and off for a few weeks but Sunday was the worst by far and came with chest pain and trouble breathing. The ER PA thinks it is just esophagitis and that the surgeon and radiologist are wrong. But the bariatric surgeon swears it is a hernia, possibly a sliding one based on my symptoms. So he fit me into his schedule this week to repair it! I hope he's right and this sorts it out. He's going to do a scope afterwards to be sure there is nothing wrong with the esophagus. Here's hoping it all goes well!!
