Good Morning Gang~~Thanks Karla - everyone at work liked them - said I looked younger and you know all girls want to hear that - especially at our age... WTG on Snacks - that's the way I feel about them - who really eats 2 tablespoon of dip - hell that's 2 bites ;0). I have some Protein chips that I will eat on afternoons I have workouts - 120 cal 12 grms pt

Well time for the shower

Phyl you didn't post yesterday - busy getting ready for your trip ;0) - When will you be in California ...

I like the bangs, Janet!! We will be in CA towards the end of Sept.

Didn't realize I hadn't posted yesterday. I did read all the posts. Pain is getting so discouraging, I just don't feel like chatting sometimes!

Had TOPS yesterday morning. I was down 2 1/2 lb, but still a little over 200 and that's discouraging, too. I had PT yesterday, too. And Tracy & Jim stopped over with Gigi for a short visit. All in all, I just don't know where the day went! Took Zoey to TOPS and to PT.. our son & DIL are right... we've turned in to crazy old people who take their dog everywhere!! LOL! Took her red bag both times and just put her in there when I got there. Weighed her at TOPS... just held her and weighed myself again. She was wiggly, but we figured she weighed 6 1/2 lb!! She was 5 lb 5 oz when she had her surgery last month! Doesn't look like she's gained that much, but maybe! She's still very tiny so I'm not worried about it.

She is probably getting too many treats!

Very busy packing, too. Pulled a lot of stuff out of my closet yesterday so clothes are almost done and Earl says RV closet is pretty full. Today I have to go through my electronic stuff.. chargers, etc. and sort through my TOPS bags. Also, jewelry and cosmetics. I just took a muscle relaxer and a Tylenol w/codeine so I can cooperate with all that Earl wants me to do today! I haven't taken any of those pain pills in several days because I don't like feeling like I am in LALA land!! No reflection on you Janet!! HAHA!!

So frustrated that PT has to be so passive right now... ultrasound massage, Elec. stim, ice and some stretches. They worked on me for an hour yesterday. I want to be in the pool and on the bike and doing my usual stuff but I can't! I don't understand why this pain won't go away. When I had it before it was only for a day or two.

See... all I do is whine, so... should just read!!

Oh, dear... here comes the woe is me tears!! Later, chicks!

Oh Phyl!!! It's okay if you cry and whine! We don't like that you're in pain (emotionally) but it's okay if you feel the need to whine!

I remember that frustration about being in pain and no one listening and going to 3 different docs and them all treating me like I was nuts. I remember thinking that I was ALWAYS going to hurt and that no one cared. It made the pain worse it seemed like. Not only did my back hurt and my head hurt but so did my heart! Whine away!

I would suggest accupuncture. I didn't go and didn't go and didn't go but when I finally gave in, I did find some release. It only takes 45 minutes and many many chiropractors are trained in it. It really was less uncomfortable than the tENS machine....but similar feeling. If you don't get something done, you're not going to enjoy your trip in the least! And by Sept. you might be losing your mind.

Wipe your tears lady. We hear you! We love you! We are listening. Don't feel bad about sharing the burden of your hurts! That's why we are here. Love you!

Phyl, hang in there, I wish there was something we could do....but whine away, go ahead and kick and scream!!

Got a bit of bummer news today, now don't laugh, but I'm a bit bummed. I was sitting in class today and I get a call (yes it was on vibrate and I didn't answer). Come to find out a raccoon got into my friend's pond and ate all my koi. I raised all of them from 3 inch fish to over a foot in size.

Damn, hot flash, got to go outside, be back!

Morning ladies, sorry I didn't get back, too tired.

Yep the raccoon got 4 of my 5 fish, the darn varmit, I hope he gets sick to his stomach.

We did have a rain storm last night, thunder and lightening, hopefully the raid put out any fires.

Dragging this morning. Class was pretty boring yesterday, but at $20 an hour, I can be bored. These 3 days will pay half of my house payment!!!

Stephani, I wish you would slow down. I think my life is insane, but then I listen to yours and wonder how you do it. I'm sorry about the jerk in your class, they can be anywhere. You are an excellent teacher, and some people are just as dumb as a post.

Any way, nothing much here, have class today with a field trip to US's largest superfund site in history. Yep, right in our backdoor. Since it is by the river, maybe I will get a chance to snag some rocks...hum, do I even want them from US's largest super fund, I'll have to see.

I hope you all have a great day, check in when I get home. TTFN

Hey there ladies! Wonderful news! I don't have to go to Glendive to set up popcorn until TOMORROW!! I'm so excited. That gives me one more day to work on house and laundry and pink ribbon rally stuff. That lets me breath a little easier.

I know you all think that I take too much on and should slow the heck down. I met a lady that has a LOT of the same issues I do. bipolar, depression, adhd, anxiety. She totally got it! She said, "if you don't stay over busy and feel overwhelmed by it, you put everything off until it's too late, feel like a failure, and then you don't even get outta bed in the morning." EXACTLY. If I didn't have 1000 things to do today, I would put the 4 things off and get NONE done and then spend the day beating myself up over it. If I keep trying to get the 1000 things done, I'm too busy to get down and at that end of the day I can look back and feel like I got something completed. Hard to understand if you aren't in my skin.

Okay. Taking kids to daycare and then PRR stuff. Talk to you later ladies. Love you!

Took pain pills yesterday.... one in the morning and one at bedtime, and the muscle relaxer, too...but just one instead of the two I'd been taking. So I didn't feel like too much of a zombie and I actually was able to walk the dog around the comdo loop once. Neighbor that lives halfway around came out as I was going by and she was actually headed over here to my next door neighbor's, so she walked with me and we chatted and that took my mind off the pain... which is mostly in the left hip now. Moves around! And my left foot is still all tingly. But....walking is progress. And it was after dinner, so the pain pill had to be pretty much out of my system by then... almost 12 hrs after I took it.

Ya know... I actually DO get that! I have some similar tendencies! Do it all... or do nothing because its too overwhelming. I have several tasks I've been putting off for days!

Candice... where are you???

Karla... so sorry about the Koi!

Linda....??? Come back! We miss you!

Karri?????

Who am I missing??

Gotta go... want to make an appearance at Primetimers today so we can say goodbye for the winter, so I need to go get in the shower!

LOVE THE BANGS Janet!!!! you do look like me!!! We could be sista`s

Sorry about your migraine! Hope it's better tonight.

My back/hip is feeling better today and I just walked around the condo complex again. Started hurting again halfway around, but not intolerable. Seems to be helping to take the pain pill and muscle relaxant twice a day... just one of each. May start taking some Ibuprofen for the inflammation. And think I might see if the therapist will let me ride the incumbent bike for a few minutes tomorrow when I go to PT.

Funny... I asked Earl to walk her around another time when I got back, but she won't walk with him unless I go too!! I watched him try to walk her down the sidwalk and I thought I'd fall out of my chair laughing. It was hysterical. She just plants her feet and won't move. Earl tries to drag her and she is just NOT going with him! He does have her out on the lawn now playing ball with her and one of the neighborhood cats is trying to get in on it... That would be "Hilo". He seems to enjoy playing with her, but he's the only cat out there who will. I got some cute pictures of the two of them a couple of weeks ago.

But we have to wear her out at night or she drives us nuts! She was racing around here chasing her big ball last night... It's a big red ball that Candice bought her when she was here. She had it all the way back in our bathroom... But then we don't know what she did with it... can't find it tonight! It's gotta be back there somewhere... but you know men... can't find anything. He just put the ice bag on my back so... I'll go find it later.

Been thinking about you today Steph... Told Earl those fugitives are thought to be somewhere along the Montana/Canada border! Be careful! Hope you're not going to be out by yourself in the RV this week!! And hoping they catch them soon.

Fugitives? What fugitives? Remember, I am either in class or at work, what is TV?

My new jean shorts that I got is Washington are too big...I think they stretched. Tried drying them really well, not much difference. Okay, so maybe a 16 is a little too big to buy.

Took DD#4 & #5 for dinner tonight. DD#5 was up from Idaho moving into her apartment for school. I think Elyse DD#4 (the one with the looser boyfriend) maybe seeing the light. The boyfriend was suppose to come over to help her load the futon into my truck (I was in town at class) so she could drive it into town for her sisters apartment. He bailed on her, went to hang with his 'buddies'. So she ended up carrying the futon up the basement stairs and loading it into the truck by herself. I just said that I was sorry that he let her down and that she was more patient than I would be.

Phyl, I hope you get into a doc as soon as you get to California. You should call about an appointment NOW so that you can get in right away. Life is way too short to be in pain.

Steph, I kind of get what you are saying, but I guess i am too much of a homebody to want to be running as much as you. I like sitting with a good book or working in the yard to much to keep the pace you do.

Candice, I hope you are feeling better. Are you drinking enough Water? What about your electrolites? I know if I get dehydrated I can count on getting a Migraine.< /p>

Janet, what's up??

Morning! dragging this morning, I'd give just about anything to be able to crawl back in bed and sleep for about a week! coffee should kick in soon.

Not much going on today other than class.

OOHH, just had a spider on me...bleck, golly I hate spiders.

Did you know...that just outside of Missoula is the largest Superfund project in the US? There use to be a dam, called Milltown Dam on the Clarkfork river. I guess all the runoff from Butte copper mining collected behind the damn and contaminated the well Water arsenic and copper. Anyway, they had to remove the dam and divert the river and dig out all the contaminated sediment. The company that owned the mine... BP Arco, as in BP of the oil spill in the Golf Coast.... Interesting. BP is spending over 1 Billion $$$ for the clean up.

I am really getting frustrated with sticking on liquids...I know it is stress, but dang, I would like to enjoy my cup of coffee in the morning.

Well, best get a move on it, TTFN

Fugitives? What fugitives? Remember, I am either in class or at work, what is TV?

Prison escapee from AZ.

Two have been recaptured but one more and his girlfriend still on the run.

Reported sighting in St. Mary MT yesterday.

10_1_112.gif 340.gif

Had some pain this morning so took the muscle relaxant and pain pill again. Now I feel like a slug. Have PT in an hour. Promised I'd finish all my packing today.... cosmetics, jewelry, electronics and miscellaneous! It will be a challenge with no energy. But I will do it. Then, if the sun really comes out as promised, may go to Anthony's Homeport with Tracy and Jim about 4pm.

Last day of packing. Tomorrow... only last minute stuff, then clean the condo, then sleep in the RV at Tracy & Jim's tomorrow night to get an early start on Saturday. Probably won't go much further than the Idaho border the first day.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...
