Brazillian Waxing

Recommended Posts

**I've been wanting to get one as well but I scared a little! Im also wondering do they double dip the 'spatula' in the wax or do they change! I've read that some women got an STD after a Brazillian Waxing because of the double dipping! Did some of you ear the same thing? **

Sweetie,

I'm a licensed Nurse and Esthetician in Texas. If you ever see someone double dip even when they wax an eyebrow report it to the health dept. and don't let them touch you EVER... It is not sanitary at all... Now, I'm curious on this STD your talking about because I don't see how it could be possible at the temp. the wax was kept at. IMO that is someone who got the STD from another situation and choose to use waxing as a convenient explanation. Not saying that it could never ever happen but it's odd. I would be more worried about Staph from contaminated wax myself.. A professional should always have multiple sticks laying out on her/his cart or prep table. Always ask how they wax, a professional will never get upset for you questioning their procedures your safety...

Ladies and Gents don't be afraid this will only hurt for a minute :tongue2:

Have a lovely weekend

Ok Girls all the guys in the mens forum sent me over to request PICS.

LOL!! My partner was all "So can I watch?? Huh? PLEASE??" when I first went... Sadly for him, the salon would not allow that - not that I'd want him to watch - it's not exactly an elegant pose to be in and not half as sexy as it sounds, I'm sure!

It hurts. But it hurts worse if you go in there without preparing! I have long pubes (sorry if TMI) and if you can trim to about 1/4", it's slightly better.

My last Brazilian was a year and a half ago. I'm still getting ingrowns. I seem to have a problem with that, and they are NASTY. It was fun while it was bare, though.

Oh, and for your "big girls" question? I wasn't *all that* big when I went, but I was horrified when my esthetician gave me what looked like a washcloth to cover up! I had to ask for a "real" towel just for my insecurity...

Yeah...I think I'll stick with just shaving down there. haha! I'm not much for pain. I have used the Veet mouse on that area and it works very well with very little irritation.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

Iʻm roughly 6 weeks post-op this morning and have begun to feel like a normal human, with a normal human body again. I started introducing solid foods and pill forms of medications/supplements a couple of weeks ago and it's really amazing to eat meals with my family again, despite the fact that my portions are so much smaller than theirs.
I live on the island of Oʻahu and spend a lot of time in the water- for exercise, for play,  and for spiritual & mental health. The day I had my month out appointment with my surgeon, I packed all my gear in my truck, anticipating his permission to get back in the ocean. The minute I walked out of that hospital I drove straight to the shore and got in that water. Hallelujah! My appointment was at 10 am. I didn't get home until after 5 pm.
I'm down 31 pounds since the day of surgery and 47 since my pre-op diet began, with that typical week long stall occurring at three weeks. I'm really starting to see some changes lately- some of my clothing is too big, some fits again. The most drastic changes I notice however are in my face. I've also noticed my endurance and flexibility increasing. I was really starting to be held up physically, and I'm so grateful that I'm seeing that turn around in such short order.
My general disposition lately is hopeful and motivated. The only thing that bugs me on a daily basis still is the way those supplements make my house smell. So stink! But I just bought a smell proof bag online that other people use to put their pot in. My house doesn't stink anymore.
