ate something not approved

The by the book approach is the most is the ultra cautious most conserative approach. If you can do it an not be miserable, great, if you can't great to. On day 7 my mushy day I ate nachos, just chewed the shit out of them. I bet I've puked 100 times with my band now, not that big a deal. You will find out that you puke alot at first, and then as time goes on, puke less and less. I haven't got stuck and puked in probably two weeks. I still get stuck from time, but can generally get it down.

Oh, and by the was don't listen to restlessmonkey, she is a band nazi.

It's not good to puke with your band - that means you are not chewing - eating too fast - bping can cause your band to slip - so Don't say it's not a big deal cuz it is - it's not good.

I would never want to encourage someone to do something that eventually caused pain or damage,

Then stop posting your stupid crap.

I'm sure you won't be on here long lndshark, so I'm responding quick. First of all..... I can't even tell if you are a joke or not. Coming on here and calling people names is real mature. Have you nothing better to do? Restless Monkey is a nurse and she is a good friend of mine. She has helped me, and many others out, when we needed answers and advice. I don't believe you are for real, I don't believe your ticker, and I don't believe you need to come here and insult people. I'm sure the powers that be will have you 86'd by the time the sun sets. Happy trails. Becky

i'm guessing this thread will soon be moderated~

anyway to the OP - hit the complications forum.

VERY rarely does anyone who ate early out or advanced their post op diet have issues right off the bat. you never know what could happen during the healing stage, that will show up months, yrs later. it's hard to say , so to be on the safe side.....follow your post op diet as best as possible.

i myself advanced but only by 2 days and after an appt w/my surgeon & his OK.

indshark - i myself was a pretty devoted the moment i woke up from surgery & barely lost 30lbs 6 months out. i think your being pretty hard on others - but that would just be my opinion, like everyone else here gets to have.

Maybe so, but come on, I don't like the blowhards that yammer all the time and don't "walk the walk" Sorry for all the cliches.

I guess the old saying is true, "thoes who can't do teach."

Wow...and you even found a way to put down teachers...very sad.

Personal attacks and insulting other members is against the rules. Let's hope this thread gets back on track.

WHAT?!?!?!?!? Are you kidding me? How do you know she didn't damage something with this episode? Are you doctors? She did great by calling her surgeon's office and speaking to a PROFESSIONAL to make sure everything is okay! By making the mistakes that both of you did, how do you know you didn't cause just a little damage and won't have a slip several months/years down the road? You don't!

It is not safe for any one to say "oh, no big deal! I did it and I'm fine!" Hello! You don't know that you really are fine. I certainly hope nothing ever happens to your bands. That would be horrible, BUT there are rules, made by the PROFESSIONALS, for a reason. And no, I didn't cheat. I followed my doctors orders b/c I didn't go through all of this to mess it up. Surgery is a major thing.

And BTW Indshark, RM does happen to know what she's talking about and is a successful bandster to this point. And whether you agree with her or not, please don't call people names!

Excessive vomiting is thought to be the main cause of band slippage, but I see that person's account was suspended and probably wouldn't care to hear it anyway!

Folks, no need to continue reporting the same posts in this thread. Elisabethsew has handled the situation. As long as you remain on track from here on out, everything should be fine.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
