  2. I just had a baby 6 weeks ago and I am starting over again. I was banded may 2009 and had lost 150# I gained some back while pregnant and I currently have to lose 32# to be back at my goal weight. Having no restriction for 9 months was great but now it's time to get serious!
  3. Well my upper GI was normal and my band has not slipped. So we have no clue why I am having these issues. Surgeon wants me to unfill and wait 6 weeks and start over and I am saying no as it costs me $145 each time for fills or unfills!
  4. I am 6 weeks post partum and I am down 36 pounds. I am having some issues and we thought my band had slipped. My upper GI this morning showed it was fine but I do have a hiatal hernia, most likely caused from the pregnancy. I also have a tighter band than I thought according to the upper GI. I guess after no restriction for 9 months what I was feeling and thought were problems is actually restriction! Ok so now to get back on track!! Hope all is well with everyone!
  5. I know how you feel. I waited 2 years after my band to start ttc. Well I now have a 6 week old daughter and a slipped band because of the pregnancy. Yes she was worth it but even waiting and doing everything right didn't stop it from causing problems. But she was born perfect and healthy so that's really all that matters.
  6. I was actually over 2 years post op. I started ttc in may 2011 exactly 2 years after my band in may 2009. Sorry I didn't realize that it posted on an old account I never use because I created a new one because I couldn't remember the log in lol!!
  7. So I waited 2 years post op to start trying to conceive as I was instructed. I had a partial unfill while pregnant and it still screwed up my band. I am so worried to get the results of my upper GI. I left my job as a nurse to be a stay at home mom and went on my husbands insurance and he has no bariatric coverage. So if I have to have it fixed I have no clue what it will cost! I am so upset and disappointed!!

  9. I'm having to start over after having a baby 4 weeks ago. I did not gain all my weight back but I am up 35 pounds after having lost 150. It's very frustrating knowing I have to do it again but just keep your chin up it can be done!
  10. I went through 3 fresh cycles of IVF before banded and they all failed. I was advised to lose weight so I was banded in 2009. I lost 150# and 2 years after the band all my fertility labs came back NORMAL!! We were told to start ttc naturally and 4 months later I was pregnant. She turned 3 weeks old yesterday and she's perfect. I know you said the IF was on your husbands side but if he did things to increase his sperm count and you lost the weight maybe you won't need the IVF. Good luck hun, il be watching for your updates

  12. I'm in west Texas. I was banded in may 2009 but starting pretty much over as I just had a baby 3 weeks ago!! I have MFP, is there a group on there for banders?
  13. Angie I also had some removed at approx 8 weeks but no more. I have no restriction at all and getting a fill today.
  14. It took me about 4 fills to really hit my sweet spot. Strict protein, no snacking, lots of fluids. I lost over 150#. Just had a baby and now working on the 40 I gained. Good luck and if you need to talk just MSG me or you can find me on FB. Melissa Archer Howell
  15. Awwww I miss my phentermine
  16. It sounds like he might be scared. Good luck
  17. I am hoping I can lose it that quickly too. My biggest feat right now is that my pouch is stretched and I'll need to completely unfill and start over with my fills. Thank you and yes she is our first. I feel so down right now and I think if I start losing the weight and working out again that will help.
