4/24 - 3,

5/1 - .5,

5/8 - 2,

5/15 - 1.5,

5/22 - 3,

5/29 - 0,

6/5 - 1,

6/12 - 6.5

Hi Jersey

What's your preband weight so I can add you to the spreadsheet? Just so you know if you post your weekly weight rather than your weekly loss its much easier for me to update the sheet! otherwise I have to use my brain and a calculator. hahaha:scared2: (also if you give me height & goal weight I can add you to the BMI part!)

210.5 -First gain week since surgery and I did it in a big way...gained everything back that I lost last week after my first fill. Time to call the doc and see if I can get in earlier than 7 weeks (between fills)...bummer.
Don't sweat it BG. You have done so well so far, these are only bumps in the road!!
Stress, bad food choices and lack of excerise caught up with me. I'm up 4 lbs from last week. Not good not good at all! You play you pay and I'm paying!

284, yuk, yuk, yuk!:)

Um HELLO!!! You know you have lost 35lb so far!!!! Thats awesome!! Stop beating yourself up. You will get there!!!
Hi everybody

I am at 283 from 280 but I am not stressing about it. I had a rough 10 days just prior to this week where I was on mostly liquids and very little food and lost 16.6 pounds over those 10 days so now, after an unfill, I am eating real food again and have gained a few back :wink2: trying to stay on track - going to workout in the morning.

Love to the group!

Kate

Hey Kate, you may have posted this before but what was your pre-band weight? Also if you tell me your height and your goal weight in lb I can set up the BMI part of the sheet for you (nerdy I know!!)

Down 1 pound to 196, but my hairdresser just told me my hair is falling out at an alarming rate. She suggested I get my thyroid check. I know it is from the lapband band and the weight loss. AAAAGGGGGHHHHH :smile2: Anyone have suggestion on vitmans?

I have heard many stories about this and was really scared of it happening to me - may still do!!! Some people reckon its the stress of surgery, some reckon it's not enough Protein. I'd try making sure you take your multivite and eat your Protein first so you can fit as much in as possible. Other than that - get a cool hat for the next three months!!!! :tongue_smilie: xxxxx

WHY?! Can't that hair fall out on our legs, underarms, bikini line or UPPER LIP? Yeah...just don't understand it.

I'm down 1.5lbs or maybe just 0.5. It's been the same so long I can't remember :frown: :)

Hey Shelly, whats your actual weight this week - as I have 249 as last week's weight.

I am setting at 265. This has been my weight for the last two weeks.

Glad to see everyones progress!

Yay! Angie's back!!! Angie, don't sweat it, we are all feeling a bit weird at the moment I think - and I know myself I have not wanted to log on as I have been feeling like perhaps I wasn't the only one having success. However a few glances around and its clear that that is not the case! These first few months are the trickiest. Hang in there and I am glad that you are back. Please don't lose sight of the fact that you have lost 15lb so far on this journey.

I cannot say it enough - KEEP GOING BACK FOR FILLS PEOPLE!! xx

Aluv - yep of course there's a spreadsheet!!

Here it is - up to date for the week 12th June.

Biggest loser this week was YOOOUUUU!!!! followed by Maddison - Great work guys!!

(ignore Liz - she is just my neighbour who wants to join in! haha)

Please check there are no errors!!!

Angie- I agree with Ling & JT, we've got to rely on each other to get us through the not so great band moments. It's hard work, really hard.

Congrats Aluv & Madison!

FRIDAY WEIGH IN

19TH JUNE 2009

**********************

Good MORNING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I FINALLY LOST SOME WEIGHT!!!

I weighed in this morning at 124.9kg. Yay 124 - haven't seen that number in a hell of a long time!!!

That's 274.8lb and I started at over 300 - I guess we should keep this weight loss thing in perspective when we are all so gutted if we have a week where we haven't lost or we have put on - this is a LONG TERM GOAL and we have done SO WELL in such a short time (hello, April was 2 months ago people!!! and look how much weight we have lost!!!)

I can't wait to hear about everyone's weigh ins this week. Be it a gain or a loss, its all part of the journey - a journey we are ALL going to succeed in!! So no pity parties - just back on the wagon!! xxxx:thumbup:

Iʻm roughly 6 weeks post-op this morning and have begun to feel like a normal human, with a normal human body again. I started introducing solid foods and pill forms of medications/supplements a couple of weeks ago and it's really amazing to eat meals with my family again, despite the fact that my portions are so much smaller than theirs.
I live on the island of Oʻahu and spend a lot of time in the water- for exercise, for play,  and for spiritual & mental health. The day I had my month out appointment with my surgeon, I packed all my gear in my truck, anticipating his permission to get back in the ocean. The minute I walked out of that hospital I drove straight to the shore and got in that water. Hallelujah! My appointment was at 10 am. I didn't get home until after 5 pm.
I'm down 31 pounds since the day of surgery and 47 since my pre-op diet began, with that typical week long stall occurring at three weeks. I'm really starting to see some changes lately- some of my clothing is too big, some fits again. The most drastic changes I notice however are in my face. I've also noticed my endurance and flexibility increasing. I was really starting to be held up physically, and I'm so grateful that I'm seeing that turn around in such short order.
My general disposition lately is hopeful and motivated. The only thing that bugs me on a daily basis still is the way those supplements make my house smell. So stink! But I just bought a smell proof bag online that other people use to put their pot in. My house doesn't stink anymore.

Oh yeah, something I wanted to rant about, a billing dispute that cropped up 3 months ago.
Surgery was in August of 2023. A bill shows up for over $7,000 in January. WTF? I asks myself. I know that I jumped through all of the insurance hoops and verified this and triple checked that, as did the surgeon's office. All was set, and I paid all of the known costs before surgery.
A looong story short, is that an assistant surgeon that was in the process of accepting money from my insurance company touched me while I was under anesthesia. That is what the bill was for. But hey, guess what? Some federal legislation was enacted last year to help patients out when they cannot consent to being touched by someone out of their insurance network. These types of bills fall under something called, "surprise billing," and you don't have to put up with it.
      https://www.cms.gov/nosurprises
I had to make a lot of phone calls to both the surgeon's office and the insurance company and explain my rights and what the maximum out of pocket costs were that I could be liable for. Also had to remind them that it isn't my place to be taking care of all of this and that I was going to escalate things if they could not play nice with one another.
Quick ending is that I don't have to pay that $7,000+. Advocate, advocate, advocate for yourself no matter how long it takes and learn more about this law if you are ever hit with a surprise bill.

Some days I feel like an infiltrator... I'm participating in society as a "thin" person. They have no idea that I haven't always been one of them! 🤣

Thank you everyone for your well wishes! I totally forgot I wrote an update here... I'm one week post op today. I gained 15 lbs in water weight overnight because they had to give me tons of fluids to bring my BP up after surgery! I stayed one night in the hospital. Everything has been fine except I seem to have picked up a bug while I was there and I've been running a low grade fever, coughing, and a sore throat. So I've been hydrating well and sleeping a ton. So far the Covid tests are negative.
I haven't been able to advance my diet past purees. Everything I eat other than tofu makes me choke and feels like trying to swallow rocks. They warned me it would get worse before it gets better, so lets hope this is all normal. I have my follow up on Monday so we'll see. Living on shakes and soup again is not fun. I had enough of them the first time!! LOL
