Anyone getting banded in January

Recommended Posts

Hi,

My surgeon told me 72 hours then I could shower but not to use a lot of soap in that ares. I was banded Weds. can't wait until tomorrow:tongue2:

2 days post op and not too bad - a little sore, a little gassy and very releived to get on with my life Oce I can figure out how to change the ticker - I will start changing that (hopefully all in the same direction...down hahaha)

I showered the day after surgery but was told to avoid letting the Water stream over the incisions too much.

I was told to avoid soaking in a bathtub or a hot tub or even swimming in a pool for those 2-3 weeks. Something about possible infection in the incisions.

I was banded on Jan 28th, and aside from some gas pain, I'm feeling pretty great. So happy to be on this journey!

i was banded on the 20th by Dr. Scott at UTSW in dallas (he did the "single incision surgery" thats new). i'm still pretty tired, and gassy too, but other than that things are going well. i'm looking forward to eating real food again soon, even if its only "soft foods".

My starting weight was 300.8

Almost a week out from surgery down to 281.1

Blessings to all that are beginning this journey in 2009.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
