Calling all October sleevers!!
I am down 35 pounds since surgery. I seem to have several weeks in a row where I don't lose at all and then I'll lose several pounds at once. The surgeon is happy with my results. I wish it was coming off faster but the inches are melting away. So I really can't complain. I haven't been sick or had any trouble with food for the most part. I avoid bread because it scares me. lol

Struggling
I wouldn't be too concerned right now. Your body is still recovering from the surgery. Just keep eating like you are supposed to and make sure you are getting your water in.

Struggling
You are definitely not alone. I've heard of the three week plateau and I did have a bit of a plateau at that time but it didn't last as long as this has. I guess we just have to keep doing what we are doing and eventually the scale will catch up. Thank you for your response. Wishing you much success and a very Merry Christmas!

Struggling
I'm just shy of 3 months out. 10/217 was my surgery day. I did pretty well for the first 8 weeks or so. For the last two weeks or so, I seem to be losing and gaining the same one or two pounds. I know I weigh too often. I need to stop doing that. I do feel like I am shrinking. My clothing is almost falling off of me and everyone is commenting on my weight loss. I'm just not seeing in on the scale. Would love to hear from anyone who has worked through this issue. I am trying to remain positive and focus on my protein and water.

Want lapband out
I just recently had a lapband to sleeve revision done, all in one surgery. The lapband was a huge waste of time and money for me. I had it in for 7 years and I'm so glad to be rid of it and actually on the way to a healthier me.

Husband eats constantly
My husband says he is being supportive but this whole week he's done nothing but eat in front of me. I'm not talking normal meals, I'm talking snacking constantly, in addition to the normal meals. I was sleeved on Monday so I'm not even a full week post op and I'm ready for him to go back out on the road again. I know this is a mental thing for me and I need to figure out how to be stronger but shouldn't he be a bit more sensitive to my feelings? I've told him more than once that it bothers me.

Post op weight gain
Same thing happened to me but I lost the post surgery weight pretty quickly. Now I weight exactly what I weighed the morning of my surgery. I am four days post op and just waiting for the weight loss to start happening.

Main Incision Pain
I was sleeved 5 days ago. I have been careful not to lift anything but I made the mistake of leaning over and pushing something out of my way. I pulled some internal stitches or the muscle in my main incision. I didn't have any pain before that but I sure do now.

Ripping burning pain in largest incision
I am three days post op and I have the same thing going on. I leaned over in my chair and felt something give a bit. I have been in pain ever since. I talked to the nurse in my clinic and she suggested using a heating pad to help with the discomfort and it has been helping.

Sleeved 09/27 and now I'm sick! With a chest cold:-( Should I be concerned?
Sorry you are feeling poorly. I would suggest calling your doctor's office to see what they recommend that you take. I know that is what I would be doing. This is all new to us and we sure don't want to mess up something.

How did you guys do on your pre op diet?
Same here. Surgery is the 2nd. I was just reading about my post op diet and I'll be on a similar diet for 3 weeks after surgery. I know this will all be worth it but I am so over this part of it.

Tomorrow is it!!
Prayers for all of you! Mine will be next Monday. Can't wait!

New here, need support
It sounds as if you have plenty of motivation. Your daughter is worth taking this small risk for a better life. I suggest that you just keep walking forward with this and see where you end up after you have met the requirements for the surgery. You could always change your mind later on. Good luck to you!

Pureed food ideas
I have been checking out Pinterest. I've saved a lot of recipes. Right now it is making it difficult to focus on the liquid pre-op diet. LOL
