I know I am slow getting in on the August countdown...I am suppose to go to TJ on 25 Aug to be banded by Dr. Ortiz....I have NEVER had surgery of any kind...and as each day in August ticks by I wonder if I have lost my mind to put myself on a surgery table in Mexico for the sake of weight loss.....tell me that I am just nervous and that everyone freaks out at this point!!!! Anyone else scheduled for that day????? GULP!

MsButterKup23 and Kittykat2900, liberty2003 and liberty2003's sister,

Best wishes to you all and here's to speedy recovery for all.

Sisterp, don't worry you are not alone, this too will be my first surgery, and I am scared to death. Mine is 7 days away, so excited, and scared all the same. We will all get through this with the great help we get from each other.

Prayers to all,

Shelley

Margo,

I know this is rather late, but I am having surgery in Monterrey Mexico.

I want to thank you for being such a great good luck wisher to all of us Aug. bandsters. I don't make it to the boards everyday so I miss some, but I want every one to know that my thoughts and prayers are with you all.

By the way has anyone heard from the ones that have already had their surgeries? Hope they are all doing well.

Here is to gettin er done,

Shelley

Shelley,

You know, you and I will be "band sisters" since we are both having surgery on August 17.....

I had my pre-op appointment with my surgeon today and all is great and I am ready to rock n' roll.

We will be miles apart, but not really!!!!

Good Luck in Mexico.

Hi guys, I am back after my surgery on the 1st!! I had a few post-op problems (general surgery problems not band problems) but now I am home and safe and feeling great. My wounds are healing nicely and I am eating mushy food, I am a bit more tired than usual and a little tender on the abdomen but apart from that I am really well. Thanks for all your prayers and well wishes. Good luck to all who have yet to be banded!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
