Hi, I was banded 5 months ago and in the beginning was doing so good. I really thought I broke my addiction with food and was on my way to a healthier skinnier me....... I guess I fell off the wagon! Last week we had tons of family down and they stayed here for a week. During that week I started snacking and stopped drinking Water. The worse 2 things to do. When they left Tuesday I tried to get back on track but no luck. I now know it's easy to snack and possible to go down without a problem. I need to get back to drinking my Protein Drinks and water but it's so hard. I feel defeated and really dissapointed . I don't think I can go to my Dr appointment on the the 11th with only 1 pound loss in 6 weeks. I have a good restriction I think, I can't eat alot at one time but like an hour later I am hungary again. I'm such a loser but not in a weight loss good kind of way.

Any advice at all would be greatly appreciated. THANK YOU!

I WAS BANDED DECEMBER 4 AND I HAVE FELL OFF. I HAVE BEEN GOING TO SUMMER CLASSES FOR COLLEGE BECAUSE I HAVE BEEN PUSHING MYSELF TO GRADUATE IN MAY OF 2009. I HAVE STOPPED GOING TO THE GYM BECAUSE IM SO TIRED. I GO TO SCHOOL FULL TIME AS WELL AS ATTEND CLASSES FROM 6PM TO 10PM. WHEN I GET HOME I EAT SOMETHING FAST AND QUICK SO I CAN GO TO SLEEP.YOUR NOT THE ONLY ONE, YOU JUST HAVE TO SET IT IN YOUR MIND THAT YOU WILL GET BACK ON IT AND MAKE A GOAL. MY GOAL IS SET FOR NEXT WEEK WHEN MY CLASSES ARE OVER.

You must go to the doctor; especially if you've drastiscally slowed down on your weight loss so that he can adjust your fill. You are not the only one to fall off the wagon and the doctor has seen it many times. The worst thing you can do is start avoiding the very people who can help you get back on track. I have a co-worker who was banded 2 years ago and started on that slippery track you are on now and her results are that she needed to lose 125 lbs, but only lost 50 and then had her fill taken out altogether and gained back 15 lbs. She hasn't been to her doctor in over a year and has given up. Don't walk away or hide because things got a little tough; go to the doc, admit you're having problems and let him help you.

pick yourself up - dust off the negative vibes and get back to the basics. i too had family for over a wk & i had to try to limit the junk around me. pretty grateful i didn't fall too off the wagon - but i did continue going to the gym during that time.

the band is perfect, cause it always lets you start up anew ..... GO to your Dr., never avoid the person that can assist in your weightloss journey - i agree completely w/dionna's advise there.

just start back up at the beginning & go from there - cheers!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
