  1. Hi I havent been here in ages. I've had no problems with the lap band EXCEPT that I learned what all the bad food that can fit through the band. I'm starting HCG drops to motivate and boost weight loss.
  2. What I was going to say exactly........
  3. I get the noises too. When I wasnt filled enough I didnt have them now that I'm pretty tight I have them so I think it has to do with the band being tight. IMO
  4. Hi, I know how painful an over fill can be. I got a fill about a month ago but all of sudden I had the same problems as you. I thought I had a slip so I went to ER Saturday. They did a barium swallow and I was way to tight! They took 2 cc out of the 5cc I had in there. I immediatley felt better! The Dr told me it was good I got an unfill because all the throwing up would have made my band slip or worse made my bottom portion of my stomach come up through the band. I love losing the weight and feeling full but I feel 100% better now. I might get one more fill, maybe 1 cc but thats it. The pain and scare was horrible!
  5. Hi all my March Bandster friends:biggrin: Everyone is doing so great!!!!!!! I had to respond about the relationship issue! My DH and I have been married 11 years and we are now seperated. I aksed him to leave about a week ago and I am so happy. I'm not sure with the weight loss if it gave me some super power or something, lol but I just do not want to be unhappy in any aspect of my life anymore! I'm scared to death what to do next but I'm taking it one day at a time. One happy day at a time. Congrats to all of us :tt2:
  6. Hi everyone. I have a quick question: I've had pretty good restriction with the same fill for about 2 months. All of the sudden one day I woke up and felt hungary so I ate (duh!) well I was able to eat about twice as much as usual and it's been that way for a couple days now. Do you think my band slipped or something? Thank you so much to anyone who can help because I'm kinda worried now.
  7. I'm on prozac and wouldn't go a day without it. Before lap band it didn't make me gain or lose weight so I'm sure now (post lapband) it hasn't helped or hurt. Sorry about your job  The economy is just so awful
  8. I kind of did mine backwards.....I had a tummy tuck done about 3 1/2 years ago then I gained all the weight.....then I got lap band. My tummy is now flat again (Thank God). My surgeon was Dr. Gary Lawton. He is a great Dr. and have had many people I know use him for various surgeries and all of them have had nothing but GREAT results. Michelle~ How is your journey coming along???
  9. Yes. I realy think my best friend thinks I am because lately everytime I eat I throw up. It's not that my band is to tight it's just something weird that's going on me. But other people know that I got lap band becuase I opened my big mouth!
  10. ...where are you guys at? I have been MIA for a while but I was just wondering how everyone else is doing? I hope all is well and look forward to hearing from you.
  11. I know it seems impossible now but it can be done. I was addicted to Diet Coke more then one can imagine. I thought I would grow old and die with a 32oz. fountain Diet Coke in my hand, lol. After my surgery the pain meds made it so I didn't have those headaches and it's been 8 months and haven't had any carbonated drink. Really can't imagine going back to drinking liquid sugar that most likely would hurt my stomach. You can do it!
  12. Dr. Cavazos did my surgery also. I'm so happy with him! Great job on your weight loss! He'll be so proud
  13. I remember when I was at a seminar this lady who was about 100 pounds heavier then me, looked me dead in the face and said, "what are you here for?" I was shocked!!!!!!! HOW RUDE!!!! It's no ones business why I want to go under the knife unless they plan on paying for it. I was 250 at my first weigh in and my height is 5'6". My isnurance paid for it because my BMI was 40. My Dr. told me that the way I was going I would weight 300 pounds in a year and it would just get worse and worse. I wanted to finally do something proactive with my life. I could care less what anyone thinks (saying that in the nicest way )on why my Dr. and I thought this was for the best for ME. I would do it over a million times over and recommend it for anyone who is not happy with themselves and dieting does not work for them.
