Gurgling, bubbling noises when eating? Could it be...
I get the noises too. When I wasnt filled enough I didnt have them now that I'm pretty tight I have them so I think it has to do with the band being tight. IMO

overfilled!
Hi, I know how painful an over fill can be. I got a fill about a month ago but all of sudden I had the same problems as you. I thought I had a slip so I went to ER Saturday. They did a barium swallow and I was way to tight! They took 2 cc out of the 5cc I had in there. I immediatley felt better! The Dr told me it was good I got an unfill because all the throwing up would have made my band slip or worse made my bottom portion of my stomach come up through the band. I love losing the weight and feeling full but I feel 100% better now. I might get one more fill, maybe 1 cc but thats it. The pain and scare was horrible!

all of the sudden, less restriction
Hi everyone. I have a quick question: I've had pretty good restriction with the same fill for about 2 months. All of the sudden one day I woke up and felt hungary so I ate (duh!) well I was able to eat about twice as much as usual and it's been that way for a couple days now. Do you think my band slipped or something? Thank you so much to anyone who can help because I'm kinda worried now.

Anti-Anxiety Drugs anyone????
I'm on prozac and wouldn't go a day without it. Before lap band it didn't make me gain or lose weight so I'm sure now (post lapband) it hasn't helped or hurt. Sorry about your job  The economy is just so awful

Ever been accused of being bulimic or anorexic with the band?
Yes. I realy think my best friend thinks I am because lately everytime I eat I throw up. It's not that my band is to tight it's just something weird that's going on me. But other people know that I got lap band becuase I opened my big mouth!

caffeine and lapband
I know it seems impossible now but it can be done. I was addicted to Diet Coke more then one can imagine. I thought I would grow old and die with a 32oz. fountain Diet Coke in my hand, lol. After my surgery the pain meds made it so I didn't have those headaches and it's been 8 months and haven't had any carbonated drink. Really can't imagine going back to drinking liquid sugar that most likely would hurt my stomach. You can do it!

Should people barely over 200 lbs or below 200 get Lapband or any WLS...?

Should people barely over 200 lbs or below 200 get Lapband or any WLS...?
I remember when I was at a seminar this lady who was about 100 pounds heavier then me, looked me dead in the face and said, "what are you here for?" I was shocked!!!!!!! HOW RUDE!!!! It's no ones business why I want to go under the knife unless they plan on paying for it. I was 250 at my first weigh in and my height is 5'6". My isnurance paid for it because my BMI was 40. My Dr. told me that the way I was going I would weight 300 pounds in a year and it would just get worse and worse. I wanted to finally do something proactive with my life. I could care less what anyone thinks (saying that in the nicest way )on why my Dr. and I thought this was for the best for ME. I would do it over a million times over and recommend it for anyone who is not happy with themselves and dieting does not work for them.

How many fills to your sweet spot
My 3rd fill put me at 6 cc's and that was to tight. They took out .75cc later that day but it's still too tight. I can't wait to get another unfill.

Fills and flying
I agree....2 days IMO is not enough time to get used to a 3rd fill. I had no problems with my first 2 fills and for my third it's been a nightmare. I had to get an unfill and can't imagine what I would have done if I was out of town. I am still dealing with a lot of puking, terrible heartburn and can't eat anything more then soup and only about a 1/2 cup at a time. Sometimes I'll drink some water and immediately comes back up. Basically I am miserable and the last thing you want to do is risk what happened to me, to happen to you. Your vacation will not be pleasent to say the least. My 3rd fill put me at 6 cc in a 10cc band. They had to unfill me .75 that same day and I still need an unfill BAD! Everyone is different though. My Dr. told me that some people have 8-9 cc and don't experience heartburn, throwing up, etc.....

OUCH! Fill and unfill still not ok
HI, I am 5 months post op and have had NO problems with my band thus far but my weight loss has pretty much stopped so when I went for my Dr. appointment they gave me another fill (4th all together) They put in 1.5 cc so I had a total of 6 cc in. I couldn't even keep a sip of water down. I went back and got an unfill of .75. Immediatley felt better. This was yesterday. Today I can swallow water very slowly I tried to eat some steamed shrimp, chewed almost to liquid. But after 2 shrimps I got this pain in my chest . It's right underneth my left breast and can feel it all the way through my back. In fact it hurts worse in my back then in the front now. I can deal with the limited amount of food I can eat but the pain is not something I want to feel every meal. HAs anyone else gone through this? What do you think I should do? Thanks so much.

Dr. Cavazos in San Antoino.....
I was banded by him and think he is WONDERFUL! The whole process has been really great and I have NO regrets about using him. The hospital and his staff are really good and Dr. Cavazos is the best. He truely cares about his patients. There were like 10 of us who all started the process around the same time and none of us have had any problems. I can't say enough wonderful things about him (as you can tell). Where are you in your journey?
