  1. I had my first fill yesterday. It hurt when the needle went in and then it stopped. It was a little sore yesterday. It hurts only when you press on it today.
  2. I am so relieved to here that. I am also taking chewables.
  3. dan2001.... I really appreciate the reminder that food is fuel and not GUILT, FAT, or A DIRTY SECRET. I am so concerned with sticking to the drs very structured diet that I do feel guilty if I have more than the 2-3 ounces. I had an extra shake the other day and felt terrible. I still have to stick to there parameters...at least until the 9th when I go back. Thanks to everyones posts I can feel better about not losing.....FOR NOW!!!!
  4. My docs have me on a 3 meal per day....2-3 ounces of protein/meal step right now....tomorrow I will be allowed moist chicken and fish(2-3ounces). I am not supposed to increase amts or try different foods yet. Do you think this is a "hang in there" moment? I met with the nutritionist last week and she too seemed suprised I wasn't losing.
  5. I was banded almost four weeks ago and for the past almost 2 wks I haven't lost a single pound. Did anyone else experience this in the beginning? I am consuming between 400 and 600 calories a day. Any advice or encouragement is appreciated.
  6. I didn't think the surgery itself changed my teeth! lol!!! I figured it was something I was drinking or eating. I don't know what prophy means? If it means a cleaning I had a dentist appt a month before surgery. I wonder if it is artificial sweetener related. I used to only use that in my coffee before surgery. I think it was in just about everything I was drinking post op. The strange thing is I haven't been drinking coffee at all since surgery. Thanks so much everyone....I am gonna try white strips.
  7. I have always been complimented on my super white teeth. I was banded on 1/05/09 and about a week out I started noticing my teeth looking a little yellow. They are definetly more yellow than before surgery. Has this happened to anyone? My post op diet includes sugar free carnation instant Breakfast...I was thinking it could be from that????? My mouth always feels gross after I drink that stuff. Ps. It is def not something others notice...but I sure do.
  8. I was banded just a little over two weeks ago and on post op day 14....was blessed with the most violent stomach bug ever!!! I see surgeon monday. I didn't feel tight after...I feel just about the same. I hope I didn't do damage.
  9. Tomorrow I will be banded for 2wk. I am still on liquids and should be starting mushies tomorrow. I have a nutritionist appt tomorrow as well. I am looking forward to it because I am so cranky and exhausted. Did anyone go thru this? I literally am like a little old lady that needs to "rest" after just about everything. Some of my grumpiness is due to the fact that I lost 10lbs the first week and have gained 2lbs. this week! I don't know how that happens when you are only drinking. grrr. Sorry for being such a bummer but I am struggling.
  10. I am looking forward to full liquids...they start with mushies on monday too. Do you think it would be horrible to start full liquids on saturday or sunday? I have family coming in that doesn't know I was banded and I was thinking Soup could fool them....strained of course. I know I should'nt even ask. Even if I got a bunch of people saying to go ahead...the guilt would be too much. I am a paranoid rule follower : ) I just don't know how to hide it from in house guests. (ps. wasn't my choice to have house guests.)
  11. I was banded on the fifth and I am still on clear liquids until Monday. I have lost 10lbs. but I have NO energy. I am still very happy with my decision but I just can't wait to feel good. I am hoping after clear liquids is over the mushie stage will make me feel better.
  12. It is kinda bulky when you aren't wearing sleeves. I had no problem wearing it with long sleeve shirts but in the summer with tank tops and stuff it raised a lot of questions. I wore it for like 2wk straight and got an idea of how much i burned in a day and then you can input that manually. So then I just wore it when doing really active things or excersing to make up the difference. They will prob have them for cheap on ebay soon or a thinner version. Technology is ever changing right? lol
  13. It includes my pre-op diet too.
  14. I was banded on 1/05 and I have a whole bunch of strange pains and noises... I don't think mine are hunger pains though. I have struggled with head hunger...I usually drink something and feel better. I am not looking forward to bandster hell. The noises definetly slowed but they come back occasionally...I think it was the gas from surgery leaving.
  15. You could always online shop? I love online shopping!!!
