  1. I was banded December 2007 and lost nothing that has truly made a huge dent in my weight problem. I have finally finished school last month. I have been fighting to get through school taking 18 credits as well as working full time. I was so tired when I would finally get home that I would really eat what ever just to go to bed and have a good nights rest. I feel that getting banded was a great thing but i wonder if I did it at the right time. I originally weighed 380lbs and now recently went to the doctor and saw that I gained back weight and now stand at 368lbs. I'm getting married Sept 1, 2011 and would love to get myself together so I can feel 100% beautiful that day. I told myself that I will not go to the plus size section to look for my gown. I'm feeling like this surgery has been a failure because I really do not feel any restriction.I have had about four fills and that is a long story. Any comments on how to get back on the band wagon is appreciated. Thanks in advance.
  2. I WAS BANDED DECEMBER 4 AND I HAVE FELL OFF. I HAVE BEEN GOING TO SUMMER CLASSES FOR COLLEGE BECAUSE I HAVE BEEN PUSHING MYSELF TO GRADUATE IN MAY OF 2009. I HAVE STOPPED GOING TO THE GYM BECAUSE IM SO TIRED. I GO TO SCHOOL FULL TIME AS WELL AS ATTEND CLASSES FROM 6PM TO 10PM. WHEN I GET HOME I EAT SOMETHING FAST AND QUICK SO I CAN GO TO SLEEP.YOUR NOT THE ONLY ONE, YOU JUST HAVE TO SET IT IN YOUR MIND THAT YOU WILL GET BACK ON IT AND MAKE A GOAL. MY GOAL IS SET FOR NEXT WEEK WHEN MY CLASSES ARE OVER.
  3. I HAD MY SURGERY ON DECEMBER 4 2007 AND I HAD MY FIRST FILL ON FEB. 29. I DONT THINK THAT IM LOSING AS MUCH WEIGHT AS I SHOULD AND I ALSO FIND MYSELF ABLE TO EAT A 'GOOD' PORTION BEFORE REACHING THAT FEELING. WHEN I WENT TO GET MY FIRST FILL I ONLY LOST TWO POUNDS AND BASICALLY MAINTAINED MY WEIGHT. IN A WAY I THINK ITS BEST I LOST SOMETHING RATHER THAN GAINED RIGHT?
  4. I Was Banded On December 4 And I Have Seven Incisions. My Doctor Told Me That It Was Because Internally I Was "small." My Strips Started To Fall Off About 5-6 Days After The Surgery And One Of My Small Incisions Sort Of Opened. I Called My Doctor And They Told Me To Keep Them Covered Until It Starts To Scab. The Open Incision Sort Of Bleed A Little But Stopped The Night Of It Opening. All Together Out Of The Seven Incisions, I Only Have Two "big" Incisions. Good Luck And I Hope I Helped.
  5. :clap2:CONGRATULATIONS! I REMEMBER THAT FEELING OF PURE EXCITEMENT! I WAS JUST BANDED ON DECEMBER 4 AND IT WAS THE BEGINNING OF MY LIFE! STICK TO THE PRE-OP DIET...I LOST 13 POUNDS ON THE DIET I WAS ON. AND ITS WORTH IT TO HELP YOU GET ON THE RIGHT TRACK. GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!
  6. THANK YOU SO MUCH TO EVERY ONE WHO HAS REPLIED TO MY THREAD. ALL TOGETHER I GATHER THAT EVERYONE RECOMMENDS THAT I SHOULD STAY AWAY FROM THE CARNATION DRINKS AND EITHER CONTINUE WITH THE PROTEIN SHAKES OR TRY A DIFFERENT TYPE. THANK YOU SO MUCH FELLOW BANDERS FOR THE ADVICE.:clap2:
  7. I RECENTLY HAD MY SURGERY ON DECEMBER 4 2007 AND IT TRULY WAS THE BEGINNING OF MY LIFE. MY DOCTOR PUT ME ON A CLEAR LIQUID DIET AND FOLLOWED WITH A FULL DIET FOR TWO WEEKS. OUT OF THE SIX MELAS THAT I AM SUPPOSE TO HAVE FOUR OF THOSE ARE SUPPOSE TO BE PROTEIN SHAKES. I HAVE BEEN HAVING TROUBLE DRINKING THE PROTEIN SHAKES AND HAVE REPLACED THEM WITH CARNATION INSTANT BREAKFAST DRINKS. ANY ADVICE ON WHETHER THATS A GOOD IDEA OR NOT?:help:
