I just received a call tonight from Lap Band Solutions telling me that it sounds like my insurance is going to cover the lap band! They asked me to start on my pre-op diet tonight because they are going to schedule me for December 28!! I am so excited!

:clap2:CONGRATULATIONS! I REMEMBER THAT FEELING OF PURE EXCITEMENT! I WAS JUST BANDED ON DECEMBER 4 AND IT WAS THE BEGINNING OF MY LIFE! STICK TO THE PRE-OP DIET...I LOST 13 POUNDS ON THE DIET I WAS ON. AND ITS WORTH IT TO HELP YOU GET ON THE RIGHT TRACK. GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!

Congrats, Shoegirl! I was very fortunate that my insurance covered it as well. What a blessing! Good luck on your pre-op diet, it will be hard with the holiday comimg up, but just stick to it and it will be well worth it.

Thanks to all of you. I was hoping to hear from them again today but I didn't. I'm just keeping ahead with the pre-op diet. I figure that even if I'm not approved on time to have it done this December at least I'll lose some weight!

It's just the withdrawal symptoms I'm going through that are killing me! I figure that if I can make it through this week I will be able to deal with the liquids and then smaller meals after surgery. ;)

I am having surgery on Dec. 31 and have not started the pre-op diet. I was planning on only doing one week not two. Did anyone else not do the full two weeks? It's not that I can't do it, but something is stopping me psychologically. I don't know, anyone else feel this way? It is stressing me out.

My Pre-op diet was only for a 1week and 2 days, I was approved and got surgery date so fast but everything went ok. After the surgery I have been loosing some weight. Alomost 25? guess that good but I want more =p

Xmas vaction coming up so... i should have more time and force myself into gym and get body used to it.

Good luck on surgery.

I found out today that I have been approved by my insurance! I am definitely getting banded on 12/28! In one week! Yay!!

imb316. My place wanted 2 weeks but since they didn't know for sure if the insurance was going to approve me, they started me on Monday night, a little less than 2 weeks out.

Don't be scared to get started. It's really not that bad of a diet. It gives you a kick start and a realistic view of what you're going to have to go through once you're banded. They really need for you to do it because it shrinks your liver and they are going to have to go by your liver when they put the band on. Your liver has to be smaller so that they don't hurt it. At least that's what I understood.

shoegirl that's great I also went to lapband solution in Hurst Texas to help me get approve there are so fast and they know what they are doing CONGRATS!!!1

Tomecia25 - I am in program at Hurst location and also plan to use Dr. Marsden. They are submitting my paperwork to insurance in about 4 more weeks. Do I wait to hear if I am approved then call Dr. Marsden office and let them know and schedule an appt. with him? Thanks.
