One day you'll work up the courage / callouses needed to use adult whips, Mac...A word of caution, though....don't forget a small strip of leather to "bite down on", otherwise the neighbors might get concerned.

Seriously, Denise, you can't drop a bomb about not having enough time for LBT because you are in the middle of falling in love and leave it at that! But, I am happy for you. There is nothing more exciting than new love!

This thread is hilarious! Since we've introduced baby whips into the convo--should we have a safety word? Hm?

Some of those DS'er posts were so mean I just wanted to punch one of them for you, Wasa. Then I thought, oh, no-don't. That would probably make them poop.

I use baby wipes, too...but not to avoid a rash. Just 'cause I like my bottom to have that "feel fresh" softness.

My bf thought I was weird (well, other reasons, too!) but now I got him hooked! I've been using them since DD was born 11 years ago.

I also use them to dust with and wipe down the shower.

I use baby wipes if I am sick other than that no. And I is sick :) This poisoning is kicking the hell out of me I had a DS MOMENT today LOL I decided to run over to Kmart with my mom and when we got there I suddenly had horrible tummy cramps and felt like I HAD TO GO...I was lucky and was able to wait until we got home but wheww...ouch. LOL.

Being sick is bad enough EW I would never get a surgery that makes me that way forever. :|

I met a guy on match.com . I was really impressed that he contacted me since I didn't have a picture posted. I said my town is too small to have my picture plastered on the internet.

He is a long distance runner. He has a great bod. I was nervous to tell him about the band. He said he was impressed that I cared enough about my health to have it done.

The best part is WASa- His son lives in Chandler! We have been together every day since we met. I think this is the LTR I have been looking for and was too afraid to look for when I was FAT!

Sorry to hijack the thread. I am sure once the newness wears off, he won't be over here every day.

BWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

I don't know why these threads make me giggle like a 6 year old calling someone poopyhead but damn, I can't resist!

Just a Drop discount info

There is a little history here. DS is a WLS type, it is kinda like extreme malabsorption and it makes your poop and farts so bad people could faint. I mean it's HORRIBLE! This is something DSers battle all the time. It's so bad if they fart the stench clings to their clothing. Others complain openly in public restrooms. I'm telling you, it's extreme. They are forever having to keep Fabreeze and specialized products with them 24/7. One bariatric surgeon was telling another person about a patient where he was removing her gallbladder. She farted while under anesthesia and they were gagging in the OR and since it was the middle of surgery, he couldn't leave the room. The gallbladder patient had DS.

He went on to say that if a DSer farted in an elevator, when the doors opened people wouldn't be rushing out of the elevator, they'd be dead.

There are WLS type wars on OH all the time. Bandsters tease DSers for stinking and they tease us for barfing. They are forever insisting they don't stink yet they keep companies like this in productive business! HA

This thread just cracked me up, I've been laughing since I read it. I just can't imagine my husband wanting me to buy EXTREME odor eaters for the bathroom and clothing. I can't fathom this conversation in my home!

It's not funny that DS patients stink so bad, it's not. But if you saw the horrific things they say about us, referring to our bands as laugh-bands, choke chains, if you saw how they degrade and insult banded people for being banded, maybe you would understand my childish laughter going on right now.

If DS patients eat carbs that is when it is apparently the worst. One piece of cake and they get instant gas and clear a building. Yeah, I'll take my choke chain any 'ol day over farts that are lethal and a stench following me each place I go.

OK stupid here..what is DS? lol and you made me laugh

HEY, can anyone tell me WHY us bandsters can't have carbonation???:drool:

The theory I've heard is that the carbonation can potentially stretch your pouch, although I'm sure that doesn't happen to everyone. Plus there's that issue of liquid calories if it's soda. I think there's a poll/discuss for this on the Food/Nutrition board, too.

DS is duodenal switch. That's what started this thread. The people on the Obesity Help board have a section for that and they all have problems because they smell bad.

I use baby wipes to take off make up. Does anyone know what's good to take off eye makeup? I have been wearing makeup since I met the new BF

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
