Lynn,

One more day! Can't wait to hear how it all turns out. Will be thinking about you.

Goodness! I leave for a couple of months and everything changes. Good luck Lynn!

I'm pea green with envy at all of you getting ps. I am nowhere near that goal as I still have a lot of weight to loose. The doc tells me that the TT will be covered by insurance, but doesn't want to do it now. (Neither do I! I sure don't want to do that 2xs!)

Harley - sorry for your loss! Divorce is tough!

Well, tried to update my signature and it wouldn't let me...lol, guess I have to come back more often!

Checked in with my surgeon for a follow up and he was impressed I had lost 10 lbs in about the last 7 weeks I had seen him and he doesn't need to see me now for another 3 months or I can call if I want a fill before then. He said I'm doing really great and to keep the hard work going.

surgery 11:30am, EST. Not sure how long. at least 4 hours I think. since I added the thighs to the schedule..

anxious, but not scared. will get back here once I am home and somewhat comfortable.

Think I mnay take the option for 2 nights in the hospital. Let them help me with the pain management for an extra night!!

surgery was between 5 and 6 hours. First days were a bit rough, Surgery was Wednesday and I was home Friday before lunch. 5 drains.. and plenty of meds. not light headedness, which is good.l doing some stairs, but very sowly. Dr. appt end of week to remove some drains. not sure all will be removed but some for sure. Mt daugher and boyfriend are my main care givers. It does help that my daughter is a nurse and Randy, well it is just night to lnpw he cares enough to be there for me

Each day movement gets easier. getting out of bed and chair is still tough and will be for a bit. Glad I had the thighs done at the same time as the tummy circumference.. not sure I would go back for a second round!!. lots of little naps and short walks..

Glad you are home and getting better, just take it easy you had a lot done sounds painful. Are you sleeping in a recliner? How much did the skin weigh? Them drains are the worse part if you ask me and I only had 2. Looking forward to hearing more updates.

3 drains for the tummy and one for each thigh. Drains are having less and less each time I check them./ hoping to lose them all at appt later this week. I kept forgetting to ask DR about how much the skin weighed and will try to remember when I see him this week.

Still only walking around the house. hard to get clothes on with the drains.. so just in the oversized t-shirts for now!!!

keeping to mostly liquids and soft foods. with tightening of the muscles and swelling the band had reacted also.

but every day is an improvement..

So happy I went through with both the tummy and thighs

Good Luck with your surgery, all will go well.

All I want now is to have these drains removed, then I will be able to get some regular clothes on and get out of the house.

recovery is a trip. some days better than others.

went to the DR today. 4 of the 5 drains were removed. What a sensation!! Able to move a bit easier without the octopus appendages of those drains.

Trying to be good and not do too much too soon.. of course, still lots of swelling,

The overall changes I can see already are amazing. Jusy gonna take recovery as it goes. but feeling good

Howdy shamrocks!

Lynn it sounds like all is going pretty good. Glad to hear you have most of the drains out and can wear normal clothes, sort of.

Desdemona - I hope your surgery went well. If I calculated correctly, it was last week. I have to admit, I don't want mine reduced, just back where they belong!

OK......drum roll.....dum dum dum... I am officially half way there! I'm excited. I'm guessing that I should be at oneunderland by the holidays. What great motivation to stay away from the goodies!

How is everyone? The board is moving slow, but I figure that is because it is summer...maybe also because a lot of you are hitting your goals....

I'm still attending a support group. Sometimes I feel like the slowest looser there....then I hit the board on this forum and don't feel so bad. I'm happy that the scale continues to go down.

I'm off for now!

All drains out, some really bad pain in lower back, :) probably bruising from the lipo..otherwise healling fairly well. a slight infection in one incision on upper thigh, so :crying:back on keflex

Not sure getting back to work on Aug 24 will happen, still lots of discomfort sitting upright..probably going tohave DR give approval for half days the first few days back..I really though 3 1/2 weeks would be enough time for recovery

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
