Hi! I’m new to this group. I’m hoping to find
People who are like me and may can help. I had surgery may 2022. I’ve lost 91lbs, but I’ve been stalled for weeks. Any suggestions on how to get back in the game???

Stalls happen. You just have to stick to your plan & wait them out for the 1-3 weeks they usually last. It will break when your body is ready. Not sure how much you were hoping to lose but you could be in maintenance or just experiencing the extremely slow weight loss many of us face when we’re almost at our final weight.

Congrats on your weight loss. 91lbs is amazing.

I increase my Water intake yesterday. I was only getting in 2 bottles a day if I’m lucky. Yesterday, I started 4. I’m ten months out. I need to lose another 40- 45 lbs. I drink coffee to keep from snacking. I track my food most days in the bariastic app. I’m usually between 800-1100 calories, around 45 carbs, and 40- 50 fat grams.

You dont need to get back in the game. This is the game you signed up to. Your weight loss is great. Your body is just having a moment to adjust. Continue to do the right things and you will find that the scales will begin to move again. Your metabolism had likely changed by now so the weight loss may be slower. Try changing the exercises you are doing to help.

Definitely increasing the Water, we need 64oz at the bare minimum. Also make sure to hit your Protein goal.

Sounds absolutely perfect for 10 months out. You're probably in a stall - keep on doing what you're doing and it will break soon. I know it's frustrating but 91lbs in you are definitely the expert on your own weight loss!

Get back on the horse, do better tomorrow, and don't let it become a habit. This is a life-long process and you will learn how to indulge moderately and intelligently, but you're going to make mistakes here and there.

Currently dealing with a stall & stuck at 141lbs. I'm changing up my workout & going back to drinking a Protein Shake for dinner. That has helped me break stalls before & I'm hoping that helps again!

Stalls will break when your body is ready. You can’t really force it to happen. If it broke when you did that before it is more likely because your body was ready to start to lose again & not because of dietary restriction or increased activity. Stalls are an important part of your weight loss as it is when your body resets itself in response to your weight loss to date (metabolism, hunger & satiety hormones, etc.). Stick to your plan & don’t stress your body more.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
