Maybe take some of those airborne Vitamin C things. Some people say they make your cold duration shorter??

I had the same thing. Well I had a two week reduced carb/sugar diet and then one day of liquids. I didn’t realize till I got talking on here how lucky I was cause I thought mine was tough enough. I still say it was the worst part of the whole process for me.

Did you take a COVID test? Your hospital probably requires that prior to surgery anyway.

If it's just a cold or allergies, probably nothing to worry about, but they likely wouldn't do the surgery if it's COVID.

Good luck!

My bypass surgery date is May 16th. 2022. I’m in shrinking liver diet now (low carbs) and the liquid diet is a day before. Just one day!! But now I have sinus/cold, REALLY???? any tips or recommendations?
Try Cold-Eeze I swear by it!! They are in the cold section at CVS near the cough drops

I had a sinus thing a few days before surgery and day of. I had to produce a negative covid test and they did the surgery anyway. The antibiotics actually helped clear it that they give you during surgery 🤣

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
