Hi! I am 3 months out of my gastric bypass surgery. I did very well with my pre op and post op diets. I've lost 35lbs since my surgery on 9/29/21, and 51lbs all together. I've had a hard time figuring out what to eat since I've been on regular food. Some days I do ok but others I end up eating what's there and having dumping issues. I've also been hovering between 206-210 for the last month or so. If anyone has any suggestions I am more than willing to try them!

That's almost four months from surgery, isn't it? Your weight loss stats are very similar to mine. I lost 25lbs before surgery and 27lbs since.

My first advice would be to take a week and track absolutely everything you eat. Go back to basics - Protein first, then veg, then good complex carbs if you have room. No drinking fluids for at least half an hour after eating. Clear the house of junk - you sound like you know that's what's holding you back and causing the dumping. Sticking to the program works (well it has for me so far!) I hope you smash that stall in no time. 💪

Completely agree with the above. Weight and track everything, prioritize Protein at every meal, get your fluids in and take your Vitamins, move your body daily. Even tiny shifts in our habits can lead to stalls and gain, so really being focused on consistency will make the biggest difference. I'm 4 months out and stick to pretty simple meals - good quality protein (chicken, lean beef, etc.) and fresh veggies in some form. Its not exciting, but it works for me.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
