I had my surgery on 3/24 and im

doing well. Gas pains are in my shoulder and the top of my pouch. I’ve been walking in my house ever 30 mins. This morning was the First time I was able to drink a half a cup of sugar free Powerade. I had my buyers remorse when night after my surgery. Everything hurt and I just cried. I’m so glad I feel better today.

I’m feeling the same way hang in there. These are the worst of the days and they’ll soon be behind us.

By this time next week it will be April, and all of us who had March surgeries will be on the mend. I hope we can continue this thread and keep helping and encouraging each other with this exciting new way of life.

To those having surgery this week, best of luck!

Has anyone had to drink magnesium citrate before surgery? I’m scheduled for tomorrow and was instructed to drink two 10 oz bottles, two hours apart. I’m really struggling getting them down

I had RNY on 3/21 and I’m 6 days post-op. Abdomen still kinda sore, still having some gas pressure in the chest, but overall good! Just kind of irritated by the frequent clusters of hiccups I get occasionally because that contracts my entire abdomen and it hurts. Is that normal??

I didn’t have to do this… what is it for? To make you go #2?

Ladies with incision pain, are you applying a topical like Aquafor (not antibiotic) to the top of your wounds? It helps to keep the tissues moist and aids in minimizing the scar? If not, it may help. Do not apply to open wounds but once scabbed it’s a go.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
