The nerd me researched body types so I could buy clothing at any size that was flattering. There is a body of work based on David Kibbe that I found interesting and there’s tons of videos on YouTube to help. hair, makeup and clothes kind of follow your bones. You will see hints of it on The Makeover Guy on YouTube. Some people look their best self when they better match their bone structure. It was an enjoyable rabbit hole.

I lost alot. Then after time, I could see short hairs above my forehead. My combs and brushes still grab a lot. I have used shampoos and supplements that are supposed to help. I'm probably not getting enough Protein again. Lack of protein is the cause. I am almost 2yrs post-sleeve-op.

Oh wow so even after 2 years it can still be an issue. I didn’t even know that. Thank you for sharing that and I hope it gets better for you soon!!

Would think still losing more hair that exceeds your natural Hair loss cycle into your second year or later is the exception. Sorry this is happening to you @brenda.vandruff@yahoo.com but yes, not meeting your recommended Protein each day may be contributing. (My goal is still 60g a day.) There could also be hormonal issues at play or you’re not consuming a balanced diet. When did you last have a blood test to check your levels? Ask for your hormones (all not just female hormones) levels to be checked too.

*raises hand* my hair is in a messy bun or sloppy ponytail almost ALL. THE. TIME. Even when I leave the house with it down, it ends up UP by the time I get home. 😂

That is so interesting...I've had super short pixie hair maybe 3 times in my life and I find that it actually takes waaaaaaaaay more time to style than longer hair! Probably cuz my hair is super straight and bed head is a real issue when I have short-short hair.

It does depend on your hair and how you want it styled. I don't like to put products in it so I just spend about ten seconds (maybe less) brushing it and let it air dry. I make it clear to my hair dresser that I'm NOT willing to spend time on it. The short hair bed head thing is real, but I can take a 3 minute shower in the morning and it's fine. My whole morning routine takes less than 15 minutes (at least it did prior to VSG.... now it will take longer to eat and drink breakfast).

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
