I am so thirsty all the time. I drink something and it’s not enough. Any suggestions I’ve tried crystal light, Vitamin Water, popsicles, and not enough. My lips are dried all the time. When I do drink I forget drink to fast and then I. Omit any suggestions I’m on my 5th week still. Ahhh

Ice helps me. I bought one of the tiny ice cube trays and just suck on ice all the time. It keeps away the thirst and ensure I don't drink to fast. Sometimes I put my clear Protein Drink in the ice tray and make Protein ice cubes.

You may need something with electrolytes like Gatorade Zero. I’d touch base with your surgery center if this continues for you. Hope you feel more hydrated soon!

If your lips are dry, I also suggest lip balm/chap stick.

Just keep taking small sips every few minutes. Since you are not able to "guzzle" and gulp, you are not getting as much liquids in as you are used to. Keep a bottle of Water next to you and sip-sip-sip. Keep track of how much you are actually drinking by measuring how many empty bottles/glasses you have gone through in a day to see if you're getting enough.

When in doubt, reach out to your surgery center.

I would definitely try Gatorade zero to get some electrolytes, and I swear by Aquaphor for dry lips. There is nothing better, imo. I've made my family swear to put it on me if I'm ever in a coma. Lol

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
