You may need something with electrolytes like Gatorade Zero. I’d touch base with your surgery center if this continues for you. Hope you feel more hydrated soon!

Ice helps me. I bought one of the tiny ice cube trays and just suck on ice all the time. It keeps away the thirst and ensure I don't drink to fast. Sometimes I put my clear protein drink in the ice tray and make protein ice cubes.

Agreed

If your lips are dry, I also suggest lip balm/chap stick.

Just keep taking small sips every few minutes. Since you are not able to "guzzle" and gulp, you are not getting as much liquids in as you are used to. Keep a bottle of water next to you and sip-sip-sip. Keep track of how much you are actually drinking by measuring how many empty bottles/glasses you have gone through in a day to see if you're getting enough.

When in doubt, reach out to your surgery center.
