That's awesome! I'm happy for you ! I've lost 25lbs so far but the weight loss has stopped for a couple days

Thats great. I lost about 30 pounds too and the scale has started stalling for me as well. Trying to stay off the scale for a couple of days but its so hard

How much walking exercise is everyone doing? Anyone been cleared for gym yet?

Not going to the gym anytime soon, I'm just walking at work, I guess I need to take some time to walk at home, I'll probably start with a 30min walk

I have started a brisk walk in the evenings. I'm working my way up to 10,000 steps, but I'm at 5000 right now. My surgery was on April 12th. My energy levels are much higher, but I still get really tired by the end of the day.

All of a sudden today I have crampy/dull pain on my lower left abdomen. Anyone have similar? Know what it is?

I had that for over a week, dr said gas and needing to have a BM, I tried all he said to do and it still wasn't going away, finally had a decent BM and pain got better but still comes back occasionally

I am doing well, this is my last week of puréed then moving on to soft. I just get “depressed” when I see how much others have lost since surgery, and I have followed everything exactly and have only lost about 15 pounds since surgery. But from the time I started my pre-op classes (August 2020) until now I have lost almost 40 pounds.

Today is my one month anniversary. Overall, I've been doing ok.

However, the past few days, my little tummy is not happy in the morning. I usually have 8 oz of water while I prepare for work so I can hydrate first thing in the morning. Then I have a protein shake when I first get to work so I can get that out of the way and start the day with a nice load of protein. But, now my tummy says that a protein shake is a no no first thing in the morning. An egg is a no no. Yogurt just doesnt do it for me. So, I've tried lunch for breakfast. That works ok. BUT, now I am also hungry in the morning or something is happening with my stomach. It feels like it wants more substance. I'm on the soft foods stage.

Does anyone who is also in the soft foods stage have any recommendations for breakfast? If I don't drink the protein shake first thing in the morning, I also seem to get a little behind with protein for the day. Its hard to catch up once I get really busy with work. Any suggestions?

My little tummy has been a happy camper so far. Just started getting pickier during the weekend. LoL.

Congrats on your weight loss. I know it's hard, but I was just in a virtual support group meeting and the facilitator as well as group members who are a ways out, encouraged everyone to not compare themselves to one another. The nurse reminded us that we all have different bodies and they all respond differently. Also different starting weights and different healing processes. Again, congrats and I hope that you celebrate all that you have achieved.

Wow your the first one that is exactly the same as me I’ve only lost 40 I lost most before surgery no big loss after. I just started doing the gym but I’m scared cause now I’m eating everything

LOL.... so frustrating. I just take it day by day. I try not to weigh myself everyday, going for once a week.

Have you tried the unflavored protein powder? You could mix it in a smoothie? Or crystal light, maybe. I’m not a big fan of water but I just tried it in water to see and it’s horrible (it’s not truly unflavored) but I put it in my smoothies and can’t taste it. Also have you tried any of the clear protein drinks such as premiere protein fruit punch? You could rehydrate and get protein in first thing with that then eat something that doesn’t upset your tummy.
