I love your fitness pictures! What is your routine for getting toned? That is my biggest goal after surgery.

Wow Congrats, everybody! Looking good! I need to take more before/afters.

Thank you!!! I’m into weightlifting! Very little cardio. I lift 5-6 days a week. I train for both strength (heavy weight, low reps; i.e. failing at the 10-12th rep) and hypertrophic (low weight, high reps; to add muscle mass) results. My cardio is actually my warmup, which is a 10 minute jog/run. Weightlifting completely recoups your body. It filled up the loose skin in my arms, and I still have some! But it’s no where near what it was before I started lifting.

Don’t worry it will go great! Most people have a very smooth journey.

I started at 271lbs 3/2/2020 (day of surgery), today I am 148lbs

Thank you! I have a small frame so the extra weight just really didn’t sit well. Turning 37 next week and feel like I did in my early 20’s ❤️

Everyone looks so great. Congrats on your success.

I lost 31kg in 6 months which was my goal & a further 11kg in the last 13 months. The first pxt was about 6 months before surgery - can’t believe I was that big. The second was last week.

It’s a big decision to change how your body functions so your worries are understandable. Having surgery was the best decision I ever made. My journey was pretty smooth. A couple of little hiccups (low blood pressure, a little hyperglycaemia) all manageable & all things I’d experienced in the past when I had been slim. Certainly nothing that makes me regret my decision.

Good luck on your journey.

Congratulations you look great... looks like you recersed your age too. Keep up the great work!

K, I really intended to write up a post on my 2 year anniversary (back in October!), but just never got around to it. I did make/update a little "progress" pic collage about a month ago, that again, I had meant to accompany a better-late-than-never anniversary post, but yep, just didn't get around to it.

Anyhoo....this pic has been sitting in my albums for over a month now, and since I honestly have no real intention to write up an anniversary post (I'm like 2 yrs + 4 months now, lol), I'm just gonna post it here so it doesn't go to waste:

2 weeks pre-op: 235.0 lbs
Surgery Date weight: 223.1 lbs
Goal Weight: 127 lbs (7 myths post op)
Current weight: 113.9 (this morning)

P.S. I'll try to do a proper anniversary post at the 3 yr mark...lol
