your stomach is pretty swollen the first few weeks from the surgery so it doesn't have much capacity. So yes - as time goes on and the swelling goes away you can eat more. You probably haven't stretched it. Just make sure you're following your plan - just because you *can* eat something doesn't mean you should. I still watch my volume at over 4 years out..

and yes - weight loss slows down quite a bit after the first few months.

I know today I woke up hoping to stick to my plan from now I've been slacking tbh
So would I still loose weight ? When do I stop loosing weight ? I'm scared I won't loose anymore :(

Are you eating Protein first? I know if I ever go away from that golden rule I can overeat and eat things that I don’t “need”. I’m in my 6th month and I could eat more than I should pretty easily. Lean protein first. Then add veggies. Then a whole grain carb if you’re still hungry. And don’t forget to drink a lot before you eat. Get the Water in. Log your food if you stopped. It will tell you how many calories you’re really having.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
