Sadly I gave up clothes shopping (no particular reason) maybe I should start again!

OMG! How did you manage to give up clothes shopping? What’s your secret? Did you go cold turkey or just slowly weaned yourself off? Or just couldn’t be bothered? Longest I’ve gone is three weeks which as last month. I did buy a new handbag but a bag shouldn’t count should it?? ?

i stated experimenting with a capsule wardrobe and thanks to lockdowns I have things I still haven’t worn yet ?

What's a capsule wardrobe?! Right there with you though - Several things yet to be worn! Another covid closet discovery... This sweat shirt top, ankle socks and belt.

Oh, yeah. I have things I haven’t worn yet either. A few things in my wardrobe still with the tags on. Partially COVID. Partially being out of the habit of going out. Most recently because the floods here postponed openings. Was supposed to be going to the opening night of a dance film my two nieces were in last week but it’s been delayed until June. It will be too cool to wear the outfit I was intending to wear so the tags will be staying on for a while longer. A contemporary dance performance I was thinking of seeing this week was also postponed. Sigh!

I admire you giving a capsule wardrobe a go. My casual wardrobe could be considered a capsule. A few key pieces I rotate. But my better wardrobe is an extravaganza of excess. ?

I really want to find a cute, white boho dress. I tried this on at target but I can't stand the way my stomach looks in it. I'm like an XXL/XL right now and I'm 6 feet tall so it's hard to find a good length..women's clothing is so small sometimes. Almost bought it but wasn't sold. Wondering where find other long white flowy dresses for big girls.

Small selection of carefully picked items of clothing that can be mixed & matched to create many more outfits. Often includes those classic separates like well cut trousers, a white shirt, a straight or slightly flared skirt, a blazer, a whit t- shirt, etc. They sometimes say you can include one or two pieces of trend or fad clothing but they still has to work with many of the other items.

I’m not a great capsular wardrobe person because I prefer to buy a complete outfit. I find when I do a capsular wardrobe I often can’t wear the piece I want to wear. Like the shirt I want is in the wash as I wore it the day before. Also I get bored easily wearing the same shirts or pants, etc. every week. I could never wear a uniform.

My favourite clothing store was having an up to 70% off warehouse sale. I was invited to a preview yesterday & picked up these two pieces: 71% off the cardigan & 65% off the leather skirt. Now don’t be shocked… they’re both colour. Even going to wear them as a complete outfit as one of the embroidered flowers on the cardigan is the same claret colour of the skirt. Can’t wait for the weather to cool so I can wear them.

Not an OOTD per se, but so grateful with the weight off I can wear heels again. Rocked these tonight on a date with skinny jeans and a body suit.
