Hi there, I'm also having a VSG done July 1. I'm filled with anticipation and anxiety at the same time. I can't wait to be done with the Cpap. High BP, bad knees and overall feeling like crap..

CONGRATULATIONS!!

I think it's SO cool that you two are going through this together.

Sorry about Hubby's kidney stones! I have been through that - VERY painful!

I figure if I could survive passing a kidney stone, VGS surgery will be a breeze! LOL!

Mine is set for August 6th. Kinda Nervous.

He actually said that to one of the nurses he’s take the surgery 5 times over a kidney stone.

Hang In there. I am booked for 31JULY and I am 3 days into my liquid diet. I'm more excited than nervous, but ask me again the day of surgery. lol..

My protein for after surgery came in! Fingers are crossed that these are still my favorite ones after surgery. I've tried Walmart brand, Muscle Milk, Organic, and yuck yuck yuck! I really like these two. I havent tried the Isopure yet, but I remember seeing someone reccomend it. Are there any other brands of protein yall like that I should give a try? Also, did yall who've recently had surgery do fine with the thickness of protein shakes after you got home from surgery? 20190721_023506.jpeg

Hello everyone. I am 3 days post op and honestly I’m in so much it’s hard for me to get out of bed but I am getting out of bed and walking and trying to get all my liquids and protein in. I’m forcing myself to drink stuff because I don’t want to lose my hair and I don’t want to b dehydrated. Can’t wait to kind of be back to normal hopefully soon. ?

Keep pushing! It does get better. You can do this. I still struggle with protein intake (1-week post-op) but I believe in US. I am happy you are moving and walking as that is so very important!!!!

Hey, how's everyone doing? 8 days post-op! So glad to start full liquids yesterday lol.

VSG July 30, getting nervous.
