I am 4 months out after RNY and suddenly crave Beans every day, black, pinto, refried, navy, chick pea, anything bean. WHY? My labs last month were all pretty good and I am losing regularly each week. I get at least 60 Grams of Protein every day. Does anyone else go through this??

They're a great source of Protein, so you can't go wrong. I'm not sure why you crave them, but I like them a lot too!

I currently have a pot of spicy bean casserole/stew cooking on the stove.

Perhaps its not so much the Beans you are craving but the texture or flavours that beans or bean recipes have??

Beans are healthy and good for you. Take your chance and make them a staple in your diet.

I agree with the above..beans give you so much..protein, fibre and texture and bulk. That's a win/win as far as I'm concerned! Better than craving sweet! :)

I have been eating the heck out of the Progresso Lentil Soup. It's like I am addicted to it. LOL

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
