6 months ago I decided with the support of my husband to start the long insurance approval process for gastric sleeve surgery.

5 months so my husband of 12 years informed me he was no longer attracted to me didn't think the surgery would work, and wanted a divorce so he could "live his true life."

The last few months have been unreal but I decided to go forward with the surgery even though most everyone recommended postponing it. I had the surgery last Tuesday (12/11) and my divorce was finalized today (12/17).

All I want to do is eat ice cream and drink wine, but since that is obviously no longer on the menu, does anyone have some advice for how I can get through the next 24 hours? Drowning my sorrows in Gatorade and chicken broth is not cutting it!

Wait to you lose your weight he is going be so sorry he left but girl keep going forward. I do think it is a good ideal to do things he never wanted to and enjoy yourself. Food I wonder if you can have a grape. They say freeze them then it's like a popsicle, just don't swoll it just suck. Maybe the sugar of the grape be enough like wine and natural sugar freezes on the outside of grape, ease you right now.

I would love an update on this! Six months later, I bet you are looking amazing and living your life. This may have been blessing in disguise!!

How about buying yourself an amazing new outfit 2 sizes smaller than your current size and talk to a friend/sister/etc to plan an amazing night out at a show or a weekend away to reward yourself once you get there. It will give you something positive to research and look forward to
