  17. My doctor doesn’t need me to be on a liquid diet, however, I’m a little apprehensive so I’ll probably do a 5 day liquid diet at the end of May.
  18. Funnily enough, only my partner and a few friends I’m not that close to know. I have a weight loss Instagram account (@drasticdea_x) and a few family members found it, except my parents. My mum is completely against the idea and talked me out of having the VSG last year. I’ve decided I’m not going to tell her until the day of or day before surgery. I can’t afford to hear any negativity right now. Another close friend of mine is extremely judgemental and believes obesity surgery is for lazy individuals.

  20. I work a desk job too and plan on getting back into work the following Monday too. I will be leaving the hospital on a Friday.
  21. Absolutely!! Wishing you all the luck in the world!! ❤️
  22. The fact that you trust the surgeon is so key! I'm really glad you were able to find a good place to have it done at an affordable rate. I'm really lucky that my insurance here in the US covers it, even if I have to constantly push back against them ? And as far as this being your first surgery... while no one ever really wants to have surgery (I think??), I think it will help that this is something you chose as a step to help yourself become healthier. Plus you have some time to prepare yourself for the idea of it! I was terrified the first time I had surgery (two years ago... and an emergency surgery at that ☹️), but things wound up going extremely smoothly. Just remember you're in good hands and have a team taking very good care of you! Thanks for the encouragement! I’m constantly reminding myself of this! Thank you! ❤️
  23. Thank you! ? first week of June! I’m quite nervous tbh as I have never had an operation in my life! But i feel like this is my last chance to change! How’s things with you?
  24. Absolutely! Wishing you the best of luck! ???
  25. Hey! I will be travelling to an obesity specialist hospital in Turkey! It’s thousands of pounds cheaper to get it done there and I trust the surgeon I have chosen! Bariatric surgery in Western Europe is so expensive! And the NHS wouldn’t support me because I didn’t have enough health issues.
  26. Hey Kassandra! My name is Deanna! I am 25 years old from London, UK. I have a partner, no children and have decided to undergo the Sleeve surgery abroad in June because I want to improve the quality of my life. I’m 5ft2, 290lbs+ I have PCOS and my insulin resistance has really messed up my cycle. I haven’t had a normal period for over a year and I’m afraid of how that’s affected my ability to conceive. I have been obese since childhood and do not want to be obese for the remainder of my 20s and upwards. I like being curvy so I don’t want to be slim/skinny but I definitely want to feel fitter and healthier in myself.
  27. Yeah lol wishful thinking. Tbh I’m not looking to be “skinny” which is what I’d be if I reached the ideal weight for my height. I like being “thick and curvy” just healthier with less belly lol I’m 100lbs give or take from achieving that look.
  28. Hello ? I will be having my Weight Loss Surgery in June 2019 and ideally, would like to have plastic surgery 6-7 months after just in time for my birthday. How long did you weight before having plastic surgery?
  29. That’s awesome! I’m hoping I’m as successful as you! Ideally I’d like to lose 100lbs in 6 months. I’m currently 288 with high muscle mass. I’m hoping my muscle will assist me with the process! Either way, I won’t stress too much!
