I’m super tired. And my incisions are chafing against my clothes. But overall I’m doing well. It’s a blizzard outside so staying in bed isn’t so bad.

I’m feeling greasy. Not tired or anything. Just keep getting these gas bubble pains randomly in my diaphram. Anyone else? I had my surgery the 7th and don’t go back to work until the 22nd.

I’m glad you’re feeling well! That’s great. I have pressure in my chest but it’s getting better. I’m going to start wearing myself off of the painkillers tomorrow. My family has been eating in front of me so that sucks but I’m ok I go back on the 22nd too Glad I took enough time off so I’ll be well rested

Yeah my husband literally just opened a can of chef Boyarde, cold, and ate it. Needless to say it didn’t make me jealous lol dinners go to hell in a hand basket when I’m not cooking apparently lol

I had my surgery on the 10th. Overall everything is going pretty good except I’m super tired. Anyone else exhausted?

I'm tired, but I think part of it is that I don't have anything to do but watch TV. I can't really leave the house with the blizzard outside, so sitting around is making me more tired than I am.

I was born in Newark 73 years ago, when it was Newark City Hospital, I was the longest baby on record, 25 inches long but I was only 7 pounds 12 oz. I must have looked like a mini- basketball player with red-gold curls all over my head. So it is a small world after all. My parents lived on 8th Street back when it was working class white. Still can find my way around town if need be.
So where are you having your RnY surgery? I had mine last September 5th at OSU in Columbus and I now live in Mount Vernon, but most of my Daddy's people are still in Licking County.
Hey don't be 😟 worried, you will be fine, and even if you have problems talk with me, I have broad shoulders and I love helping others. So smile, believe in yourself and you will do very good. I promise!!👈😝👉

You need more salt. I felt that way the first day and called my doc. Thought I was getting dehydrated. Told me I wasn’t getting enough salt. Recommended a coffee mug with hot Water with 3 bullion cubes in it dissolved. Said we need 3-4 grams of sodium each day otherwise body doesn’t hold on to water, messes with potassium etc. the next day first thing I did was drink a coffee mug full of 3 bullion cubes with a spoon and honesty have felt great everyday since. Lots of energy and no problems anymore :-)

Hi it is nice to meet you. I am originally from Gahanna but have lived in Licking county for 18 years. I am having my surgery at Ohio State with Dr. Needleman. I know he has been doing Gastric bypass for along time now so I hope it all goes well. One of my children was 22 inches long when I had him but that is no where close to 25 inches long.

Well well well, please try not to wear Bradley J out too badly, Tuesday morning at 11:30 am I have an appointment with him. He and Dr Noria are both wonderful, I will see her the 25th for another endoscopy. See it really is a small 🌎after all. And they both have been great to know!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
