Until I was in the market for Protein supplements myself, I never really noticed other people buying these things in the stores I frequent. This weekend at Sam's Club I saw about 10 different carts with cases of Premier Protein in the bottom of them. None of the shoppers appeared to be body builders, most were "overweight" but this sparked my question.

Would it be fair to assume that many of these people at Sam's this weekend are in the WLS process or do people use these for other reasons than WLS or body building? Meal Replacements? What else?

People on Weight Watchers, I'm sorry, WW, use it. If nothing else, it's a way to add something like Creamer to your coffee for almost no points.

Lots of other weight loss plans use it, too, not just WLS patients.

I had the same thought before I started researching WLS. I started noticing full isles of Protein powders and shakes and thought costco must really be wanting to "PUMP YOU UP!" LOL

I wonder if they are trying to get in on the lawsuit...

*Heads to Sam's Club*

I'm not sure it works that way, just a passing thought I put into words and submitted to a site. Not sure it's worth it overall given I think the max payout is like... $40.

Oh I'm joking lol

I was going anyway, I actually like PP in coffee and tea as creamer probably never give it up completely- I do wish they would make one without artificial sweeteners readily available...

(I never really counted on it for Protein or counted it as a meal... So I'm not going the lawsuit just to continue to buy it lol, hopefully the legal troubles will improve the product. Plus it's reasonably inexpensive, I can have it {my advance dietary restrictions} and tolerate the taste...)

I had never heard of it until I joined this site shortly before my surgery. I have seen several overweight people at work drinking them as Snacks that have not had surgery, I think they are popular due to the low cost and low calorie for high Protein payoff.

I use them in my daily one cup of cold brew coffee as a creamer as well, and probably will as long as they make them. It’s a great way to get a bit of extra protein in before Breakfast for low calories.

I very rarely drink them as a snack or meal anymore as I prefer to eat. 😋

I never really thought about using a little bit for something like coffee, that's pretty smart, plus you can make it mocha or french vanilla.

I just discovered Peanut Butter powder this weekend and I mixed it with chocolate Protein isolate in almond milk. OMG, it's freakin' amazing.... Total Kcal 247!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
